- Pest Control for your Roof. Keep Rats and Mice from getting into your attic and off your roof.
This video shows us revisiting a job we did for a customer in Anaheim, Ca a few years prior.
We replaced a bunch of broken tiles, performed a flashing service for her plumbing and heating flashings, and did some customer rat and rodent proofing for her roof.
Here in southern California we get rats and rodents on our roofs and it is very difficult to keep them out.
We know how to rodent and rat proof most areas of your roof. This video shows how were screened off some roof vents. Check out the video if you like and if you need this done and you live in Orange County give us a call at 949-597-0192.
Open valleys, cut tiles around the pipe jacks and gables. If you only do part of the exclusion you still have 100% the same problem.
What about the valleys? The open ends of the barrel tiles seem like a perfect access point.
The roof rats can get under the tile and sometimes they do. It seems they are looking for the easiest access to the attic. When they don't find it under the roof tiles, they don't stay under the tiles. Considering the tiles reach 130 plus degrees in full sun, it's not a hospitable place to try and stay during the day.
thank you GOD bless !
We had roof rats! Poison didn't control them. We got ferral cats and fed them to keep them around. Put a ladder up to the side of the house so the cats could get up there. GONE! It took a year for them to get them all but we no longer have a rodent problem near our house!
That's an awesome solution!
@@SouthCountyRoofing LOL! Shocked me that cats could or would climb ladders!
@@SandcastleDreams Yeah, I had no blooming idea either.
Yup that was one reason I got a cat. Not a single mouse or rat would come around. Natural predators
That looks like 1/8 hardware cloth. Is it woven or welded? Galvanized wire? Where did you buy it?
So sorry. This is bought at Home Depot. It comes in rolls and is considered "screening". It some sort of steel. it may be galvanized I haven't seen it rusted.
I need to have you come out and rodent proof our vents. How can I Contact your office. Thanks
