I am sure you know as well as I do that elderly people tend to thrive when they have a good support system and feel loved. They tend to wither if abandoned by those they love. This rant hit the nail on the head. Thanks for sharing your stresses and commitments to your family when they need help. Last year I lost 2 close friends, and was involved with personal care, pet rescue, and more, before and after they passed. It was exhausting. I've also been part of taking a family member out of 2 facilities AMA; those places were bad news. Real life stuff. Thanks for the reminder...do the right thing and avoid regrets later. Life ain't easy and it's far from perfect. Your travel and adventure videos will happen when you are ready. Until then, Ann and Scott, take care and take one day at a time. This too will pass. I drop everything and everyone to help my 94 yo mom anytime she needs me. Period. End of story. Years ago I also "adopted" an old gentleman who was one of society's "forgotten". Cared for him for 10 years until he passed. This is important, people.

I appreciate knowing that there are people out there that care enough to reach out to those that are in need especially parents and next for those that have no one who'll step up. The disabled veteran that we help has adult children but not one of them are there to help him. That is just wrong in my books. Anyway that you again and may your days be blessed always. 💙🙏

And you know what? I don't regret not one second of it.......but now that I need help, their's know one left to take care of me.
