    Do they require a certain year box truck or can you operate with a older truck?

    • @boss-lyfe
      @boss-lyfe  2 года назад

      Some may ask for the year of the truck, but most don't. The thing is, these trucks take a pounding over the road, so you want something that won't leave you stranded.

    If I have a 26 ft box truck, can I also take loads that say 16ft? Or does it have to be specific 26 ft loads? Also, what are the search options that I can search for with a 26 ft box truck? SB, Van? And what others? Thank you so much brother. Completely new to this.

    • @boss-lyfe
      @boss-lyfe  Год назад

      That is just the dimensions of the load. You can take anything that fits in your truck, upto 26 ft. Ideally, smaller loads are better because it burns less fuel. I've delivered a lot of 1-2 pallets in a 26ft box truck.

      Yes, DAT power has a lot more features, including the auto refresh which can be great so you don't have to keep manually refreshing the page all day.

    • @boss-lyfe

      All you have to do is bid on it. If it's on pallets and heavy, you probably won't have to unload it. If it's furniture going to a house, then you'll probably have to give a hand 🙂

    • @boss-lyfe

    What kind of opportunities does one have with a TWIC card?

    • @boss-lyfe
      @boss-lyfe  2 года назад +2

      It will open some doors that will be otherwise close to the majority of other box truck business owners. It means you can delivery to military bases, and ports which means more loads that you have access to. Everyone should get a TWIC card, and a Hazmat endorsement if possible.

    Can you make money with a smaller box truck or does it have to be a 26 footer.

    • @boss-lyfe
      @boss-lyfe  8 месяцев назад

      You can but it's a lot harder to find consistent loads for something small. . You can probably do furniture and appliance deliveries in a small box truck locally.

    Do you know if reefer box trucks width inside is smaller than nonreefer box trucks? Plus, would it be a problem when hauling non refrigerated freight?

    • @boss-lyfe
      @boss-lyfe  Год назад +1

      Not really, refers are usually on the outside of the box, and can be turned off when not transporting refrigerated goods. If it was me, I'd go with a refer box truck since the vast majority of box truck owners don't have them. A refer can get you out of a bad state while everyone else is forced to take a bad load to get out. The more doors you can open in this business, the better.
