Great piece! Colors are phenomenal! Love the splash of alcohol. Never have seen anyone do it that way. I’ve seen spray with mica powders mixed in. I’m going to try your method 👍❤️
I LOVE the colors and the negative space! There was only one teensy tiny thing I would’ve loved to see added to the finished piece.....that transparent turquoise(maybe it was the light green mixing with the ocean blue?)that’s already peeking out along the edge & into your negative space(right where u used the clear to cut into the colors to match what happened naturally during the pour)would’ve looked gorgeous mixed in with the pearl white, or perhaps blown over top of it-if that makes sense?🤷🏼♀️I love it though!👍🏻
Very cool😘 Haven't used my resin yet. This vid helps! Resin kinda expensive. Seems like painting, then coating with resin later, if art good enough, makes more sense. Will have to try. 🤔
The resin I use is very inexpensive General use resin from the epoxy resin store and if you enter the code Monica20 you get 20% off so I think it equals out to maybe $50 for 2 gallons don’t quote me on the price not sure lol Have fun I’m sure you’ll love it stay safe thanks for watching Sharon❤️❤️

what are you pouring on? wood? canvas? plastic?
bernice byrnes
Hi Bernice it is Wood I really don’t like pouring on canvas
Thanks so much
Did you use killz Primer?
Amanda Copeland
I usually spray paint them white or sometimes I’ll just use regular house paint
Thanks Amanda❤️
What do you use to hang on the wall?
Lekecha Watkins Just a regular hanger for pictures you can get them from Home Depot
I am amazed you torched with alcohol in a small portion of your paint. LoL
Yeah I do that all the time thanks so much Angie❤️
Hello, what do u mean with: I prime it for the canvas, what did you use?
Because this was a pine board I use spray paint or house paint to prime them before I do a resin painting thanks ❤️
Beautiful! Does the torch flame touch the resin?
Yes it helps smooth the resin out and pop all the little bubbles ❤️❤️
Great piece! Colors are phenomenal! Love the splash of alcohol. Never have seen anyone do it that way. I’ve seen spray with mica powders mixed in. I’m going to try your method 👍❤️
Teresa Griffin
Thanks so much
I try to do a different technique on every video ❤️❤️❤️
What did you prime your board with first?
JEANNINE BARNHILL
Yes I did with house paint 2 coats front and back thanks
Jeannine ❤️❤️
I LOVE the colors and the negative space! There was only one teensy tiny thing I would’ve loved to see added to the finished piece.....that transparent turquoise(maybe it was the light green mixing with the ocean blue?)that’s already peeking out along the edge & into your negative space(right where u used the clear to cut into the colors to match what happened naturally during the pour)would’ve looked gorgeous mixed in with the pearl white, or perhaps blown over top of it-if that makes sense?🤷🏼♀️I love it though!👍🏻
Bri Shae Designs
Thanks so much Bri ❤️❤️❤️
Very cool😘 Haven't used my resin yet. This vid helps! Resin kinda expensive. Seems like painting, then coating with resin later, if art good enough, makes more sense. Will have to try. 🤔
The resin I use is very inexpensive
General use resin from the epoxy resin store and if you enter the code
Monica20 you get 20% off so I think it equals out to maybe $50 for 2 gallons don’t quote me on the price not sure lol
Have fun I’m sure you’ll love it stay safe thanks for watching Sharon❤️❤️
Thank u for quick response. Will do. 😁👍
If I pour an acrylic without resin, how long before I can pour resin on my painting of canvas?
I always wait at least 24 to 48 hours but that’s just I do it. Thanks so much PK❤️
Bonjour

Viola’s Craft Corner
Aww thanks so much Viola ❤️
OH MY GGGGGGG'S!!! Love this video. I had no idea you could do a dirty pour/ flip cup with resin. Learned something new everyone! Thank you for this video. Going to order some resin from you which one do you recommend. I noticed you use different types.
I am really happy with the resin that I am working with now I’ve been working with them for over a year absolutely love it it’s from the epoxy resin store it is general use resin I think they charge an extra $10 to have UV put in it and it’s definitely worth it don’t quote me on that
Can you put this piece outside ?
Hi, I'm new to this, but love the way resin looks. Do you ever use canvases? What is a mdf board and where do you get them?
Mary
Hi Mary canvas is really hard to work with because Resin is so heavy it tends to sag the canvas in the center and all the Resin goes there
So no I never use canvas .
I did when I first started only small pieces though but they never looked good and MDF is something you can get from your local hardware store like Lowes or Home Depot if you go in and ask them they will show you where it’s at and it’s very inexpensive thanks so much I hope this helps ❤️❤️
