The way I understand Grady Hendrix, he has a lot of strong women in his family who have influenced his writing and characters. His new one was inspired by two women in his family that had to live through being “sent away” due to teenage pregnancy. I appreciate that he writes women the way he does as opposed to a side character or a love interest for a man, which would be the alternative…. 😅

He could t remember then said goodbye then came back a few mins later and said”I’ve got it!!! It’s Ronald Malfi!!”…. I have never heard of him 🤷♀️….. have you read any of his books?
