Pack Dynamics with a Dingo | Giant Spider Crawls Across Baby’s Face

- Ok so WARNING there is a big spider that crawls over Wolf’s face and hand in this video. I know there’s a few of our viewers that don’t like spiders so I want to give you a good warning on this one. It’s right at the end. Wolfie did not get bitten.
Luke answers a couple of questions from subscribers. Some of the questions we are getting these days are very interesting and well thought out. Genuine questions of interest from viewers who have followed the dogs’ stories.
Can you talk about the characteristics of an alpha dog? Would the pack accept Abra as a leader if she bullied the dogs? Do they see it as a weakness? Does the pack act differently around Cruiser, like they did Chance?
Luke answers these questions specifically in regards to our pack.
It’s pizza Friday, Kitty Rose comes out to join us. She has been hiding in the wardrobe all day because we had electrical repairs being done inside. She gets scared of tradespeople. But finds her comfort and happiness with her friends and family … a big bunch of dogs. Go figure.
We have been experiencing some large storms of late. We have an extra big one and Luke heads out to check the drains. Half the pack follow. So too does little Wolfie. They clear the drains and enjoy a big run in the rain.
Luke showers off some of the mud, meanwhile, a giant Huntsman is crawling across Wolf’s face. Luke doesn’t even notice until Wolf says Bi Bi (spider) and Luke sees it’s now on Wolf’s hand. Wolf is very happy about the encounter. He loves spiders. No spiders or children were harmed in the making of this video ❤️
So luke is driving the truck, taking care of a 2 year old and a pack of 20 dogs incuding 2 in the truck, clearing drain grates with a small shovel in a thunderstorm while filming with one hand, all with the patience of a saint....hats off to you....salute.
Oh yes. I agree
Luke is truly a miracle worker, so devoted compassionate, driven, hardworking and amazing, as well as wonderful husband and father. I have so much respect for him. Thank you. Xx❣️🙋
Pretty cool! I observed all that too and was absolutely bowled over Luke’s skills!
Yeah... Too easy 😂
Well said, my goodness I'm tired just watching him.😂😂😂🙋🏻♀️💜🙏🇺🇸
As a senior myself, I love the idea of seniors privileges for the older dogs. 💕

I agree. I upgraded my membership to the training one. As a pensioner, it allows me to budget better. Best money I spend every month. All videos are always interesting, informative and all love and compassion. These qualities are sadly lacking in parts of society today.
Thanks Luke and Sam for sharing your days with your global pack.🙏🙏❤️❤️😁
Luke didn’t need to say a word, the way Freddo looked at Mum, said it all😂😂😂😂🐾💕💕🐾
Yup! So obvious Freddo is momma’s boy! 🥰

Ok, I admit I went to the end first to see the spider before I watched the entire video...that spider is HUGE!! Wolfie was a rockstar and so calm. I love that Luke teaches all the children to respect nature and educates them about all the critters they encounter. It is wonderful to watch children growing up not filled with fear. Now...I will start at the beginning....LOL
Same!!
Thank you for letting me know where in the video it is. I have arachnophobia . So end of the video sorry not for me. I do 4 legs or less 🙏😂
I haven’t gone to look yet because I have seen too many pictures of them on the Internet. I keep reading they aren’t dangerous but that doesn’t mean I want to meet one. 😳😳😳
@@annaheeldawes8608 I get it! Glad I could help...it's the last minute
Oh too funny. I did too.😂😂
I understand mommy Sam. My man Freddo has my heart too! I love Lukes enthusiasm regarding the gigantic spider on Wolfie's hand. He's teaching him not to be afraid and to respect nature. Now me on the other hand. I would have been freaking out and putting on a show😂
The show occurred approx 30 minutes ago in my lounge room as I cringed my way through watching it!!! 😂😂😂 I agree that Wolfie learns to be in awe, not fear with Luke’s excitement!😊

Cutie Pie has them all fooled because she is the Real Alpha of the Pack. ❣
Agree 100%
Cutie Pie has them eating out of the bottom of her paw.🐾🐾🐾🐾
Seeing cutie pie with the bite sleeve puts me in stiches 😂that has to be one of the most adorable things I think I have ever seen, sweet girl thinks she is a big mastiff and Roscoe thinking he's the size of cutie pie that he is just the perfect size of a lap dog 😂I love these dogs so much they are so much fun to watch
Roscoe loves CP and vice versa. I hardly see Roscoe growling at her. He just sits there and takes whatever CP wants to do. At the same time, CP is always ready to jump in and calm Roscoe down with her licks whenever he growls too much.
@@juanitalantang8636 I love their relationship it is so cute
Uncle Luke, your spider moment with Wolfie got me teary-eyed. It reminded me of a profound moment from my childhood with my dad involving insects and is forever etched in my brain. My dad and I were riding bikes and stopped to take a break. While sitting on some stairs and staring at the concrete, a huge ant walked by my foot. As I raised my foot to step on it, my dad stopped me and said, “No, don’t do that. They won’t hurt you. They just want to live, too”. He loved and respected nature, all living beings, big and small. To this day, if I find an ant in the house I will try to carry it outside. I know I got my love of dogs from him and took that respect a step further, becoming a vegetarian. He passed at 58 from cancer. 🥺 He was the second greatest man to walk this earth, Jesus Christ being the first. Luke, I’d venture to say you’re the third. Much love and respect, Evans Family. Dad, thank you for that moment. Miss you and love you so much! ❤️🩹😢🐶🐕🐕🦺🐩🫶

It is awesome to hear Luke explain how the pack works and everyone part within the pack. Freddo deserves everything he gets from his furever home. He is such a good boy. Cruiser is so cheeky. Tank hasn't learn you leave no man behind when he left Chopper dealing with Cruiser. Wolfie loves helping Dad with chores. He is his father's son playing with the spider. What a beautiful pack of dogs and cat. Miss Kitty Rose's behavior will be a little different then most cats because she has been raised by a pack of dogs.
I agree about Freddo sweet boy, and Kitty Rose. It would be interesting to study her behavior and compare it to other cats that are not part of the pack. Your other comments were right on too.❤️🐶
I’ll say it again, when Freddo passed through that gate to meet his forever family and Sam and the kids were waiting I cheered out loud! When Luke hugged Rosco and said I’m calling it! Rosco you are staying here! Rosco and I already knew he was home. So did a lot of other members watching their relationship including Sam! I don’t think anyone was surprised.
Please do consider becoming a member of the Farm if you are able to. It is less than the price of one takeaway a month, and would make such a difference in the lives of dogs in need of sanctuary, rehabilitation and training ❤❤❤
£5:99 a month is not so very much to help out dogs in need. Please consider it it's truly a beautiful thing caring for dogs, they need us ❤❤
Agree 💯 totally 💯 🏜🌞😎🌵👍👋
I also leave a long video playing when I am out, extra ad revenue.
I most certainly would, but my single aged pension doesn't stretch very far. I have a landlord who is nothing short of a thief, but that's my problem. Feeding myself and my 2 adopted kids takes a lot of my resources, then the other bills want a chunk, so there's not a lot to play with, these days.
Personally I give $29.00/Mo. However I choose to make my monthly donation via PayPal, directly to Luke's business account. I feel like the 33% that YT takes from each member fee/ donation is just too much. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, so if anyone can show me why; I'm listening.
I also let the ads run.
Luke's best understatement of the year- "That's a big spider!" I would have required therapy if that was crawling on my hand. Bravo to Wolfie for being so brave. Love learning more and more about pack dynamics. Thumbs up for Chopper. Love the faces of the dogs when the treat lady brings out the treats. Freddo, keep being yourself, we love you!
Luke describing the Alpha/ bullying vrs confidence is exactly the difference between a good manager at work creating a harmonious/ pleasent atmosphere and a manager who bullies/ shouts/ divides ........ ask me how I know 😢😢
Rosco: everybody’s trying to kiss up to me, Dad, I’m tired of it.
Dad: I know, the kids are getting a little wild, hang in there Roscoe.
I absolutely love watching CUTIE PIE give Roscoe the chest bump checks, keeping the big boy in line. Miss Violet is so lovable I can barely stand it🥰🥰🥰
I love when Luke or Sam call out a doggo for being naughty they don't even protest just straighten up right away.
Agree. So much respect from me. Such control he has over these animals. Amazing leader of the pack.
Wolfie definitely did better than I would have with the spider. Has to laugh when he waved bye bye to it. Good talk on what makes an alpha. Like the calm confidence part of it all. No need to swagger, it will show itself.
🥰💯🏜🌞😎🌵👍👋
Omg. Uncle Luke impresses me every day with his hard work, determination, and happy loving attitude. What a blessing to the Farm to have someone who never says quit!
Yes he's very impressive 🤩
Luke's face on... 'Abra a bully...?" 😂😂😂😂😂❤
Yall know I love Abra 😂
I can absolutely understand how a giant spider suddenly appearing might cause a crash!
I had to roll back to see spider on his face! WOW! Brave baby!
I love the fact that Luke doesn't want to dance around.😅
Lots of interesting info about the dogs, farm life and Spiders! Had to laugh when Wolfie waved "bye bye" to the Huntsman spider❤🇬🇧
Where does Miss V get all of that energy?!! Cutie Pie, too!!
Luke always makes me laugh when he describes the personalities of the dogs. My favorite was Barney giving the 🖕to the big boys. Miss Violet's "kiss and nip" to newcomers came in second.
Thanks
Thank you Martin ♥️
That is so very kind Thank You Martin ❤, and thank you Anna for thanking Martin nice to see generosity being appreciated 🌹🥰
Watching the antics of this happy all-sorts pack of dogs never fails to make me smile. I hope membership will increase and the great work that is being done by Luke and Sam can continue and many uneanted, ill-treated dogs may get the benefit of the kindness and know-how the Evanses have in abundance.
I noticed the German shepherds keeping a close eye on Cruiser looks like Luke has a lot of helpers❤❤
Cruiser has the most lovely tail and he knows how to strut it.😅
He really does, it’s beautiful
A lovely plume!
The tail looks so majestic!
Nothing funnier than when both Luke and Sam laugh. ❤. Now THAT’S a spider on steroids!
Wolfie's a bigger man than many out there when it comes to spiders, and bugs and other creepy crawlies. Love how Luke introduces the kids to the diversity and respect of nature and wildlife around, it's wonderful to see how they are fast and keen learners, you just have to look at Elle.💚💖
I truly love Luke's explanations. And Freddo.
And so much respect for Wolfie not freaking out at the Huntsman on his hand.
Wolfie saying bye bye to the Huntsman spider is one of the most Australian things I have ever seen!
Wolfie definitely going to b a smart and good worker of many things when he grows up. All learned from a great dad.
Oh yes definitely 😁
I've heard it takes a village to raise a child ... Turns out it takes a pack a doggos to raise humans 🤗🤗✌️❤️🙏
i just have to pause at 1:49 and say that the opening shot of roscoe in bed was just so cute i felt my heart crinkle up and surge with a few extra huge throbs.
Me too❤️🇨🇦
Luke, I love your explanations of the dogs how they’re trying to get away with being cheeky, it’s hilarious!!🤭😂
Freddo knows his way to success. I would have had a heart attack with that spider. 😳❤️❤️
Me 2.
It's fascinating, hearing about the pack dynamics! I think Lily likes enforcing rules! She enjoys it when others get into trouble 😂 One thing I've noticed recently, is that the Staffy Sisters continue to look like puppies 🐶 😄, while the others get bigger 😅Kitty Rose's tail swishing is something she's learned to do as a means of communication. My daughter's cat, also hand -reared,does it all the time. My cats do not do it very much.
On the spider.. 😮 Kitty Rose may see it ad a good catch!😂
I agree. Whilst neither of them were the runts of their litter, we think perhaps their conditions have limited their growth a little. The runt, Miss Pink overtook them in size when they were still very young and they just didn’t grow like the other puppies.
I think the Staffy sisters may be Staffordshire Bull Terriers, which are much smaller than American Staffordshires or Pitbull Terriers. Shadow is much smaller, shorter than Tank and Chopper too. T and T must be the latter breeds.
Yes Christel you are right, but I think Rona was thinking maybe they’re even a bit smaller than their mum and siblings. Which is true too.
Awesome Luke that you found a safe spot for the Huntsman spider! Spiders are awesome creatures & it's a shame they get such a bad rap. Great to see Wolfie's enthusiasm for them, he's pretty fearless. What a little champ! 👍
I know the perfect job for Diesel... working for the airport chasing birds from the runways. 👍
Great idea!
I don’t think Cutie has ever prevailed in the toy toss game, but she gives it her all!
Is that Miss Violet running laps around the pack? Wow❤
Whew, seeing the spider on Wolfie’s hand made me jump!! Loved how he said bye-bye!!
My 10 month old lab/Bernese cross pup is soon to be going into a play group and I know that, thanks to Luke's characterizations of pack individuals, I will be watching all the dogs carefully to try and identify their different ways of being. Thank you Luke; I am learning so much from you.
Wolfie screaming with happiness was the best ❤❤❤❤
Yes love him 😍
That was a mighty spider. I'm glad he survived and didn't bite anybody.
Sweet Til Til riding with Wolfie and dad. Til Til has like an old soul I always think.

Thank you for the warning ... Gonna be my last comment because I will die a heart attack when I see Wolfie and spider lol ... Even Cruiser knows who to go to for treats for no reason lol xx

😂🤣👏🏻
I’m wondering if Cruiser is cheeky because he’s a dingo or due to his personality. Love the little guy! ❤
Listening to you both talk about the pack, each individual personality, their interaction always amazes me. It always gives me great pleasure and makes me laugh a lot as well. 🐕🐾🐈👭🐐🐎🌎🏡🥰👋❤
Hopey says he wants activity. He's still on the clock. So pleased to see him again.
Oh I loved the Freddo comment, "He is a Momma's boy" and I truly laughed as you were talking about him checking for options. Lol such a beautiful relationship! 🥰🐕🐾💕
Thanks so much for the trigger warning about the spider. With a dad like Luke, it's no wonder Wolfie handled it like a champ!
"WooHOO big huntsman on your hand!" hell NO, NOPE, NO WAY. Wolfie, you are my little hero, well done, I probably would've fainted, and that's a true story 😅😍
I would never had gotten over that. I have a bug phobia
@@mariafree6737 😂 I would have screamed so loud. That spider was huge!
@@brookebyers1114 me too.
First of all, I love how you teach your children to respect, rather than fear, insects. Next, know that Kitty Rose finding comfort and happiness living with a big pack of dogs isn't abnormal. Our family pack is three dogs and five cats -- all rescues. Juliet (cat) and Chance (dog) are literally best friends. They sleep together, groom each other, and many days Juliet eats part of Chance's dinner along with him before she goes to her own bowl. I know such friendships happen between many species at times. But I have a theory about rescued animals. Even those like your Chance on the Farm, who require so much blood, sweat, and tears, to rehabilitate, have a deeply ingrained gratitude for being rescued. Of the countless dogs and cats my family has adopted over the years, only one dog didn't work out. Rescued animals often have an innate respect and comradery with other rescue animals.
Great observations joy and a lovely comment 😊💯👍😊🥰
Always love the Q & A with Luke and Sam. Especially when they go off topic.😍😍
Glad Freddo and Tilly get a slack lead! Love the way the dogs crowd you Sam as you have the treat bag🤣. Wolfie will be a great help when he is older.
Thank you for All you do to care for all of these dear dog's God Bless You 🙏 !
Wolfie is getting so vocal! Oh my lord! That was a huge spider!
I dont think you even finished that Cruiser question with the evening wee detour LOL but enjoyed it just the same! Thanks. I'm the person to safely remove bugs in my home, I've even brought a few IN so I could look up what it was. However, even I'd have to steady myself to relocate one that size. Wolf's growing up around them and is already a pro! PS I think everyone loves the fact Freddo is a mummas-boy : ) he'd been looking for his person all his life, and we're delighted he found her.👍
Ha ha ha, I love how Wolfie said "bye bye" to the spider 😊 and yep, I can see how a spider that size jumping out at you from the dashboard could cause you to crash your car! 😳 Wolfie did very well when he discovered it on his hand. I think most people would run screaming! Good on ye Wolfie! 👏 ❤
Freddo is such a grand boy and Tilly is a grand girl. So good to see Kitty Rose joining you on pizza day. Cats also wag their tails rapidly if they are inside and see a bird or other small animals outside. They are showing their excitement. One big spider. I am one to not hurt spiders either.
I found that cats flick their tails from side to side if they're undecided about something- making a decision! The eyes and ears show when the tail wagging is anger....and then watch out..x
I am always so thoroughly fascinated listening to Luke describe the pack dynamics. As a senior, Freddo has figured out pretty early how Sam was the softie. But so earned that. Loved Wolfie’s waving hands in fast motion. That is a huge spider. I do respect how you teach the children about the creatures on the farm. Thunderstorms are the best, love them. ❤❤🕷️🕸️
Thank you for mostly answering my question about Cruiser/Chancyboy...lol
Loved the digression to the toilet. I laughed out loud. Anyway, the whole video was great full of info and the pack dynamic.
That was a big spider. Wow... wolfie is getting so big. Loved him in the mud slip/slide. Such a tough little chap.
💜🐶❤️
I just this again, I am amazed at Wolfies reaction to the spider. I would have been screaming that thing is huge ! When he waved goodbye to the spider was so cute . I love how the children have been taught to respect animals and nature including Bugs 😂! There was the video the other day with a giant beetle, I have never seen a beetle that big ! I do wonder if Sam was with them when the spider was on Wolfie would she be calm ? 😊
Absolutely love these conversations in regards to the dogs and all the dynamics 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
Astounding how Wolfie is changing by the day. The videos are always a learning curve for me, especially when I see these folks that take a weekend course and advertise themselves as dog trainers. One has only to see Luke and Sam build a relationship, a partnership with each dog through the daily interactions and that takes time. Luke and Sam exploring each dogs personality has been an eye opener.
I kill nothing if at all possible, having found discouragement using scented fabric softener sheets in the house for most insects (never in the laundry), delighted the millipedes keep the less attractive insect population to a minimum, so thank you for informing about the Huntsman spider. I know from watching the Australian Reptile Park that capturing snakes and spiders that are venomous provides the main source of anti-venom. The program is always informative and featured the Huntsman spider during one episode.
A balanced pack! 😊❤
I'd love to know your reaction when you were replaying the footage of the spider, Sam. It was the same colour as Wolfie's hair, I don't think Luke saw it until it was on his hand..
Wolfie took it all so calmly - due to Luke's excellent way of teaching about the natural world.
When I listen to Luke I am nearly hypnotised by his expertise on training skills, pack dynamics and, perfect explanations on behaviour of the whole family pack. There is so much I didn't know, appreciate or understand and I have had dogs all my life. Thank you. Love to see Luke and Wolfie together, Daddy's little helper is an extraordinarily clever little boy, but he has the best parents to guide him in Sam and Luke. Thanks again for such special moments, warmed my heart as always. Love from UK xx❣️🙋🇬🇧🌟🌟

Thank you as always Kevin for your kind words. I often smile when we are out with our two little dogs, wondering what Luke would think of their behaviour or lack of it etc, they pretty much do whatever they want😂, but they are happy. His thoughts and compassion on so many levels resonate with me, and for that I am forever grateful. 🙋🇬🇧👏

I love Luke’s chats about pack dynamics! I have a question about Hope. Now that she’s getting more confident, do you do any formal training with her? I know she used to shut down when you so much as looked at her to start with. And how is she with the other dogs, does she have anyone in particular that she likes to play with. Wolfie is just so cute! He loves to help his daddy! But that spider 😱😱😱 OMG! Luke was so calm! I love when all the dogs settle down for the evening. They’re all exhausted and happy ❤️❤️❤️

I always find it so interesting when Luke talks about the pack dynamic and each of the doggies personalities. Wolfie ❤ is his Dad’s son alright… here is a 2 year old baby who is absolutely not afraid of this ‘ginormous’ spider. I was literally backing away from my screen when Luke focussed the cam on it. Just like all this Farm community of supporters and as Sam would say, ‘for no reason at all’ I just want to mention that I happen to love Freddo and Lily and ChopChop and Banjo and Tankie and Tilly and Matilda and Rosie and Hope and Joey and Diesel and Maggie and Rosco and Rover and Cruiser and Abra and Miss Violet and Barney and Shadow and Miss Red and Cutie Pie and Kitty R. And those doggies that have been adopted by loving families such as Chancey boy, Neveah, Molly and many other puppies. The description said spider crawls across baby’s face. I first noticed the spider on Wolfie’s hand so I had to scroll back…..and there it was on Wolfie’s head, blending into his hair !!!😳😱🕷️. Yikes, that scared me more than it being on his hand. Brave boy!! And kudos to Luke with his calm wonderful approach to nature. Awesome video as usual ❤🐾🐾🥰
I love these pack dynamic videos, I watch them all the way through and I’m fascinated by them. I never knew that dogs have so many different personalities and feelings and relationships between them. I guess because most people only have one or two. I was telling my sister (who has an Aussie) about the relationship between Joey and Maggie and she was surprised at the depth of their feelings (Maggie getting her feelings hurt) Wonderful video, thank you❤️
I love listening to y’all talk about the pack dynamics!! There are so many personalities in the pack and I love each one of them!!❤. That’s a big NO on the spider for me!!!!!!

@@TheFarmForDogs Sam could you please tell me if the diapers sent to you that Luke mentioned has an opening for Rovers tail?
Yes they do. The recent black pair we received stays in place pretty well too. I will get the name of the brand and write it here for you. They’re in the wash at the moment
You can tell a great deal about a cat’s mood by watching their tail as well as their ears and eyes, hair and posture, and by listening to their voice. A cat’s thumping tail means the opposite of that of a dog. The faster and wider the cat’s tail thrashes, the more annoyed the cat. Kitty loves her dog siblings but like all cats she can get annoyed with them if they pester her. The most important thing is that a cat have hidey spots under furniture and in high spots, where they feel safe and know they can’t be followed.
