You have to format it, tap function and sd card together, then 9 for enter, then + for yes, it takes several minutes, but then it works. Make sure to save your files before because they will be erased
Thank you for making this video. Have you ever been able to play the songs you recorded on a computer? I can't play my recording since it's a .sp7 file. Is there any way it can be recorded as a MIDI from the get-go?
For MIDI files, use a software like Studio 4 to manipulate. For audio recordings, plug an audio mixer into the guitar jack on the back of the piano. Glad you enjoyed the video!
+M.S.A.A you can also record a direct audio output using the "headphone/audio" jack. This will output as audio, rather than an obscure file onto the SD card that basically is a blueprint of what notes were pushed. There will be a video soon on recording from the output jack. The buttons I was pushing in the second half of this video were the number pad, and the 4 buttons to the left of it.
I am trying to save to my sd card and following your instructions, but when I try to save it to the card it says “err format” any tips on why this is and how I can fix it? Thanks!
Hi! I don't know that is it still a problem or not. Mine problem was that when I placed my micro sd into an SD adapter I used the "lock" function it. It forces the sd card to do not make itself rewriteable. So I had to unlock the "lock" on my sd card adapter
Hi having exactly the same issue here! I'm trying to export my recorded songs to my comp but it js saved as SP7. Is there anyway to convert this to mp3 file?
Thank you, I copied the recording in SD card, and tried to play in my windows PC but it is not opening, Could you please assist me how to open it, Do we need any software to open it? Please let me know
Hello and thank you for your video series, to which I've subscribed. I own a CDP-200R which seems quite similar to yours. Please tell me when you have a chance if the #1 for Registration Bank should always be indicating on the screen as it is with mine. I tried recording and when I press Rhythm, Recorder, and Recorder again, a #2 and sometimes even a #3 Registration Bank appears. When I start to record all sorts of prestored song-type sounds come out none of which is what I'm trying to play and record. Thank you.
So THATS how its done!
Thank you very much!

Hit the function and sd card button at the same time. Then format the card.

Oh, and first it's higly recommended to format the sd card on your pc to make it empty.
