I love clear passes watching it go over and following it on my iPad app to see just how far away it is when it drops below the horizon. Nice video as always Simon 👍👏👏
I love it too Mark I often see it at this qth its nice and dark so very easy to notice ISS and other Satellite passing by I also catch a lot of meteors - shooting stars as well. Might have to get the telescope back out lol. Have a good evening bro 73
Thanks Don, I give a good go lol persistence pays off eventually lol. Had a few nice ones from the shack but want to try more outdoors as its great fun 😀 73 de M0YKS
Hello I never had it I bought mine pre made. When I made the broom YAGI I made the jpole element (folded element) rather than the gama match that Arrow have.
@@robinmoseley766 oh yes your signal is brilliant into it. Cant wait to see your station. 73 buddy keep up the great work and catch you again soon hopefully on a pass
i have better luck without the tripod, granted its more cumbersome but i can adjust on the fly easier. 5 watts is plenty to get in the repeater. it's sad that they cant just designate a QRP day for the passes. Its impossible to get in with a HT in my area, you hear the same 2 or 3 guys every pass blasting the repeater multiple times with God knows how many watts. i guess Egos prevail in every hobby, they should let others experience it every once and a while...
lol good for you mate. I have had the setup for years and worked many stations lol Yeah it works for me and easy to operate especially changing down the freq. But like u said too many QRO stations hogging it every time with high gain set ups. However who cares anyway its fun trying and hearing it but even better watching it go by. 73 thanks for the comment have a great week
MØYKS - Ham Radio I got to see it clearly on a early morning pass a few weeks ago as it headed into the rising sun. It was impressive to say the least and something I’ll never forget. I quit broadcasting and just stood there in awe of it. Thanks for all you do 73 K5KDY
@@Olderbird it was the same for me last night thats what I was gazing up at onvtge video. It looked cool. I see it a lot from my qth when letting my hounds out. Catch you soon 73

Its great on the regular satellites on 5 watts but ISS needs a bit more PWR. 73 de M0YKS tnx
Like they say, if it was easy everybody would do it.
Keep it up, you will get him.
