- Just got back from London and I brought back some snacks for my wife Veronica and I to try! Hopefully these are all actual London snacks, wasn't really sure what I was doing when I was picking them.

The kinder egg is actually from Ferrero, which is Italian. It is very popular in Europe. In Germany, we call them Ü-Ei, which is the short form for Überraschungs-Ei. I still love getting these!

Okay okay 1) I love how Aaron kept saying stuff like "London chocolate" like it was a country itself lol and 2) Chocolate oranges are unreal haha a staple at Christmas time. Also to open them if you whack it against a hard surface it all breaks apart, so you don't have to try and force it open lol

We have the chocolate oranges in the US but they are usually out around Christmas! They come in dark and milk chocolate!

Canada here: US smarties are called "rocket" in Canada. In Canada we share most brands with the UK. Smarties changed to a fruit flavored shell from a sugar shell a few years ago and are not as good. Kinder Surprise (chocolate egg with toys) can't be sold in the US because apparently American kids try to eat the capsules and choke to death. Terry chocolate oranges are very good and are usually a Christmas must. Canadian chocolate is thinned with a higher amount of caramel than most other places. You really can taste the difference.

Agreed, the fruit flavored smarties shells are not as good. I don't mind a pack of only orange flavored ones though. Then the fruit flavor is pretty good.
I will say that I definitely stole the terry orange chocolate from my dad at Christmas time.

@@Tarshncan It's also because we put more wax in our chocolate than they do. The US as a whole is warmer than the UK, so they add more wax to make the chocolate take longer to melt in the heat. 🤷

kinder chocolate is my favourite! crunchie, white lion bar (they tried the milk chocolate one), and ransoms are my favourite too. also you need to try the red and black wine gums. they’re the best!!!

I live in America but my family all gets the orange chocolate for Christmas every year(stocking stuffers) and we LOVE them. You are supposed to hit the bottom on a hard surface and then you open it and most of it is all separated. love you guys! ❤️

Fun Fact: They don’t sell Kinder Surprise Eggs in the US because too many kids were swallowing then whole, including the toys.

I’ve lived in England since I was born and I don’t think I’ve ever seen the first two before 😅 My favourite thing you tried was definitely the Terry’s Chocolate Orange but I can see why you don’t like it as much as it is kind of strong and sickly. I’m irish and most of these candys are from Ireland aswell 😂 I believe since Ireland is so close to the United Kingdom it’s only associated with the UK. I love all of those candys, most of those are my fav candys lol ☺️

A lot of these are very classic that the majority of the British public love/are super popular, so it’s so interesting to see how when you’re not used to something it’s not gonna be a hit. Smarties used to be a lot better than they are nowadays, but I could still easily polish off a family sized tube in one sitting ahah. I also think your smarties in America are very similar to our swizzlers fizzers (which are also really good). If there was ever a reason you were in the UK again you should definitely do a part 2! There’s so much amazing stuff over here!

My whole family lives in England and my parents are also both from there but we live in California, so we buy their food all the time as well as people coming here bring food and we go to England every other year. For Smarties all colors are just regular milk chocolate except the orange ones which are orange milk chocolate. Also all their chocolate has a higher milk content, which gives it that richer, in my opinion, much better flavor. I love British food, it is the best.
Some of these are selled in Norway at a store were they sell AMERICAN candy 😂

we have most of those snacks here in Canada, so it amazes me that you've never seen or had them! Obviously we're a different country, but I sometimes forget just how different Canada and the US can be.
