To paint on details or color to give it some depth try the dry brush technique. It will add some highlights to the armor and also give you the ability to weather it a tad. Dry brush some color on some edges then hit it with some gray or black to make it look scraped up. Its a quick and easy technique.
If you want to do a little paint job on the cheap just get a pack of metallic sharpies, and fill in the details at your own discretion, you could either paint the helmet black or do some gray or silver accent on the budy.

Backtracking is expensive, pre-ordering directly from four horsemen isn't at all... the quality you get for the money is unparalleled, especially when you consider that figure like Marvel Legends are starting to hit the $30 mark.
The face with helmet looks exactly like one of the goblins from Labyrinth (1986 - David Bowie, Jennifer Connelly,...)
I agree, at least at first the helmet color seems off. But now I love it and the face is perfect. I think for the time being at least, this is my favorite legion builder and I need to get more!
I want one with a pointy nose and ears because that is more like a goblin to me

Jared, all of these deluxe Legion builders are worth an All-In. Some I should of got another of, this guy is good. I just really wanted to swap heads, word is the neck peg is not compatible with most goblins. The weapon choice should of been a dark forces painted knights axe. The Elven blades are off to me(maybe too much LOR)😉. Heck a shorted war hammer (since the handle is two pieces) would of been better to me as well. Parrying with the hammer head and better to use as most goblins are not as muscled as Gonxx or Thumpp. That said I appreciate the price point and the overall execution. Excellent comparisons and sweet review✌️
Your review almost exactly reflects my opinions of this figure. I really like the goblins, but this guy just didn’t hit the same. I think the helmet really threw me off.

Some of these body molds are getting really creaky by now. They couldn't even give him one of the newer 1.0 style torsos. I'm getting increasingly disenchanted by Mythic Legions.
