I had this co-worker, she was so tiny and young looking for her age, she was at the time 25 and I was a few years older than her, after work she and other co-workers we were discussing where to go drink and party after work and this girl who look very young and tiny was so proud to know this karaoke place and was showing off how good she was and stuff. When we got there she got immediately stopped and was told this place was not for minors. Her face was so red of embarrassment and anger at the same time, she got carded every time we went there. We just laughed mercilessly.
Nobody cards anyone who looks like they are in their 30s. I've never been carded at any restaurant or bar I've been to after turning 25 because it's obvious I'm of legal drinking age and a waste of time to card me. The only time I have ever been carded is at grocery stores because the systems they use now won't complete the transaction without a valid i.d. being entered.
Idk if anyone else notice but she has been treated this way all her life that she wants to be more adult like char, like her wanting to mamma of the group. It's somewhat sad she failed at that.

I had something like this happen to me in elementary school.. But in my case it was because I was too big.. Often getting told to leave when I showed up for class trips by the tour guides, getting harrassed by the kids for being tall and big. having to help teachers and staff move large heavy objects even though I was only in 1st to 5th grade. Getting mistaken as a pervert while playing on the playground with the other kids. (by some random adult walking near the school, calling the cops on me.) Probably the thing that stuck out the most was I was in many sports. But my favorite was wrestling.. And I would always win first place... After 2 years I went to a big competition to see if I could be in the regionals.. But the officials didn't realize I was only 10 years old and put me up against body-building highschoolers.. They were so strong and had many advance techniques that they choked me till I passed out... I had to fight 3 or 4 of them during the competition.. Only for the judges to find out later that I was mistakenly put in the wrong weight and age group... So yeah I might of been a future pro wrestler if they didn't make that mistake.. I literally thought I was going to die and it traumatized me as that one guy had choked me for a good 5 minutes or so. And I could not fight him off... Plus I had only learned basic techniques that kids learn, and I no access to any training machines the high school kids had. Anyways I got a lot of other stories like that.. So I can understand Su-chan's misfortune dealing with people who judge you just by your looks... (And ordinarily they'd be in the right to judge by your looks. But can make it awkward especially if you don't get the chance to explain your age.)

Everyone thinks my younger sister is older than me now, and she is 15 cm shorter and has the same baby face. In restaurants, for example, I had the staff offer drinks to my sister and make jokes about me being the only one that can't drink yet lol.

The average (for women) in Japan is +- 1.59 cm, so 1.50 isn't THAT small, but it's probably noticeable. Most JP members are not that tall, either. If it's like me, they probably get mistaken for multiple reasons (height, face, body shape, voice, mannerisms etc.). I'm close to the average height for my country, but I have all the rest (baby face, younger sounding voice, not very defined body, kind of look like a lost child always), and people think I'm underage. I had people ask me if I was already 13 when I was 21 lol.
