Basically an oscillator from alarm clock used to oscillate the led, nice thinking!

  • @KnightofElElyon

Ok, what would you need to use a 9v Battery? Resistors on the leds only or a resistor on the board as well? Was thinking of doing this with 7 0402 (pico) leds connected.

These clock oscillators usually have a external crystal, and inside the COB (that blob of epoxy on the circuit board) there is an oscillator that drives an H-bridge that swaps polarity every second, which in turn drives the small brushless motor. This specimen was from a type of clock which seconds hand moves constantly, usually 4 steps per second, instead of the usual 1 step per second. If you want a strobe effect, you need this type of clock oscillator. If you get a normal oscillator, it will alternate blue and red flash once per second.

  • @JKnight89

I saw this on anotther channel claiming it was a strobe, but really was just a slow blink.... Your's DEFFINATLY strobes!! Nice job.

This video helped me much because there r so many videos to make a police storbe light....But they use aurdino UNO board...which is quite coslty & rare in our area...
But you opened my eyes...Now I can make a storbe light using only a rejected alarm clock...
    Best of luck....
