Golden Pilsner is the best summertime beer, and the Porter or Black & Tan are great for wintertime. Traditional Lager is an anytime beer. He was cash up front for the purchase of the Tampa brewery, and building the new one in Pottsville. I expect this is the same strategy: contract with a big company to make more beer so you can expand, save the money from the expanded market sales, buy/build another brewery, end contract and produce it yourself going forward.

There was a period where they were brewing in Tampa and shipping it to PA because they were upgrading the brewery in Pottsville. I've heard that the taste difference is due to the water. At any rate, they returned production to Pottsville, so you might try it again to see if it matches your memory.

I live a life with conservative values I don't care I don't care if you confused if you're a boy or or a girl. I'm a grocery managers I work 65 to 70 hours and have for a long time. Yep, Yuengling is the house beer in most places, at least in eastern PA. It is the same as was made before Prohibition, something from the 18th Century.
I think PBR is as well. They made cheese products during Prohibition (sold to Kraft); unlike other breweries of the time, they kept their original beer recipes, and went right back at it once it was legal to do so. Their flavor is still what it was in the 1920's, when all beers of the time tasted pretty much the same, just like the pedestrian mainstreams today really don't differ much.
My local Bar and Grill turned me on to Shiner Bock 2 years ago..My go to had been Busch prior to that.. Shiner's Not bad! Has a richer flavor than A-B Amber Bock..Haven't tried Yuengling's Black & Tan yet..

I enjoyed Yuengling even before their lager style beer was produced. The locals all called it as having your vitamin Y every day. I have tried all of their various brews and they are all good. But I like their lager the best. As for the owners political views, that is up,to him to decide what’s best for his family. As long as he makes great beer I will drink it. If you remember years ago when Coors was also a regional brewery and family owned some people tried the same thing on Coor’s. If the company sells a well made product the owners politics will not matter to most consumers.
Yuengling as a "craft" brewer is an insult to the actual craft brewing movement that started in the 80s and came back in the mid-00s to now. However, I do seek it out whenever I'm in NY state. It tastes better in cans in my opinion. I can't wait until they eventually bring it to VT.

So technically "yoingling" is how we should be saying it, but we speak English so our accents and language lead us to pronounce it as we read it, as Yungling or Yengling. We don't enunciate the differences in other German words, from hard throaty usage of "ch" to the distinction between "sch" and our "sh", so why get so heated over the americanization of a word?

The brewery tour is really cool! Highly recommend. But it's really the only thing to do in Pottsville.
