This is me and my best friend/boyfriend's song! We first kissed during Easton Corbin's performance last fall in Louisville and this was the song that he played! David, you will always be my love song and I will always think of you when I hear this song. I love you.
My wife is my love song and has been since I was 9 yrs old and she was 7 yrs old we are now 42 and 40 yrs old. We lost contact when I was 16 and she was 14. Years went by and I never forgot about her even when I was married to someone else. Well that marriage came to pass I sat in Oklahoma after the divorce deciding on which way I wanted to go I was 31 at this time she would have been 29 so I knew my lost love lived in Colorado so I got me a bus ticket put everything I had in a backpack and got on the bus and came here not knowing where she was but I knew she was here somewhere. I got me a job got a house and just got up on my feet and I set out to find her. I came across a phone number not sure if it was hers or not but I called it anyway I got her voice-mail so I left a voice mail that said, "hi I don't know if this is the same Jennifer or not but if it is you used to ride your roller skates up and down the road in front of my grandma's house in okc if this is you give me a call" Well she called me back and we talked for hours I found her. She told me where she lived so I drove 6 hrs to see her for an hour she told me she was married but it was a very unhealthy marriage so I told her I didn't want to be the cause of the divorce but if she ever decided to leave him she would know where I'd be. So almost 2 yrs went by and 9ne day she called me up I asked her what she was doing she said living in a motel I asked her why she was doing that she said she didn't know if I still wanted her I told she needed to come home to me. She did she left the motel that day and her and the kids moved into my house. She is the love of my life I never like being away from her she is my best friend and my ride or die who I love all of me and I know she feels the same way about me. Life has a way of making a complete circle if you want it to so yeah she is my love song.
That's the most wonderful story. You are truly blessed. When you love another it doesn't matter how much time passes that person will always be welcome in your heart. That's how you know it's true love.
My friend and I were listening to this song on the car radio and talking about how we can tell we're getting older because of these "new" names like Dakota, Easton, etc. She commented on what a good song this was and I agreed that it sounded more "country" than a lot of the other stuff we had heard during that drive. Then they announced his name and we both busted out laughing. It is now "our" song! :-)
