This is the absolute best video for this genre on RUclips. The way Kenny spoke the story arc was intriguing from beginning to end. As a listener, it's still a mystery why his father didn't want any profits from the robbery, but to me that sounds like he did it out of spite; a personal beef. And I was surprised to hear younger Kenny wouldn't have seeked revenge if he learned of his father's death. At the end it was touching to hear his regret abandoning his familial duties as a son and brother when he was a gangster. Kid Jai sounds legendary, especially after hearing about his character and promise keeping. I assume he's too much of an "old school gangster" as Kenny said to ever speak in an interview but maybe I'm wrong. Looking forward to Part 2. Cheers
Absolute respect to voicing this out. Its still not too late Kenny, as long as you realize at this point, then start being good to the people around you. Thats all it counts
"he still treats me like a kid sometimes and I'm 54 years old". There is a bond of love and respect between those two that can only be honoured and admired. Many a father and son would willingly give plenty to have just a part of what those two have. As an old old man, I think it's wonderful.
Against the backdrop of crime and violence, these are heart touching stories about humanity - both good and bad. I really enjoy how Kenny's shares these stories. Thanks.

Here is the the logic. Your dad's Hit Sing partner used his Hit Sing Seniority forced his way into your Dad's lucrative seafood business. Based on your description, you dad saw it as a insult and if he let's continue other will follow. So he decided to teach him a big lesson by making him lost big financially and indirectly let him know he did it but your Dad under estimated the insult he put on his partner and his balls. After all, Kid Jai look after u for life.

It’s crazy how the NYC demeanor, body language, and vocabulary is a mix of all the groups of people that live there. He’s got an Asian accent but comes off as 100% authentically NYC hood certified. If he still stomped a mud hole in a youngsters ass with his Timberlands on to this day I wouldn’t be surprised. 💯
Why Kenny’s Father didn’t ask a share of the robbery? Because he wants to have stronger bond with Kid 仔 by giving him a gift, which are the money from the other guy and the unknown source of those goods. In Chinese called borrowing flowers to worship Buddha(借花敬佛)。 Some aggressive Chinese business people like to build good relationships with the organized crime leaders, so one day they might need their help.
Real asian OGs will stay far away from people like China Mac. He’s a idiot and a crash dummy. Even after getting out of prison after doing 25 years he still has the same mentality. You know how hard that is for a asian?! Dude is average at rapping but he thinks he’s the nicest rapper in NY lol. Yea my point is, real asian gang members hate people like China Mac. They create problems and cause too much attention. Their whole thing is secrecy and keeping your mouth shut.
It was easy to fall into that life 20-30 years ago. You hang out with people that looked like you. They were your friends. next thing you know your group of friends has a nick name. next thing you know one of your friends gets into a fight. next thing you know you, you're at the park fighting against some other kids. and boom one of them has a gun. that's how easily a gang war starts.
Even easier than that lol.. you go talk to a girl. That girl used to date a gang member. The gang member finds out and gets someone to hurt you. Now you want revenge. That easy and women have caused more wars than anything else. One thing my father always told me is to NEVER fight over a girl. There’s literally billions of women on this earth, why fight over one who probably going to leave you anyways. I understand when people defend their wife or girlfriend but a lot of men know a girl for a few months and are ready to die for them. The girl just likes the attention and once it’s all over they not dating either one of you guys lol.
And then boom people got sick into the gang life without even noticing. They ended up doing one bad thing after another! They started making money illegally but didn’t know how to stop ! And then boom they ended served time in federal prison
