Thanks for a great review, especially helpful to me because I already have a Gear S3 and a rose gold Galaxy Watch. I'm still happy with both of my watches and don't see a need to upgrade to the Galaxy Watch 3.
I'll find out today if it's worth it. I do need more storage space I'm constantly running out of space on my active 2. Every time there's an update I have to go and get rid of some watch faces to make room. So the extra storage will be worth the price of the new watch

I am happy with my S3 frontier it does everything I need the watch to do although the galaxy watch 3 frontier is a looker it doesn't warrant enough of an upgrade just yet.

Which do you like better? I'm on the fence about upgrading to the Watch 3 from the Gear S3. Love the Gear, but it's older, battery life isn't what it used to be, and one of the side buttons doesn't work.

I love my Galaxy Watch... won't upgrade...
I just ordered a renewed Galaxy Watch 3 to replace my Gear S3 Classic Watch. The battery life has been dropping as it has gotten older, but still over 1 day and a couple hours. Always on display, text and some other notifications. Ordered 45 mm case silver finish similar to current Gear S3 Classic. I started with Gear S3 and S8 phone, now have an A51 4G 128GB phone paired to Gear S3, and will pair Watch 3 with same phone. Looking forward to new features not available on the Gear S3 Classic. Hopefully Watch 3 will be easier to read in full sun because that is really problematic in the SE Florida sunshine on Gear S3 Classic.
I just upgraded from my gear S3 yesterday, if I hadn't broken the glass on the back of my S3 though to be honest I wouldn't have upgraded. I'm actually using the bands that came with the S3 😂
I can make calls and listen to music etc directly on my galaxy watch
Frontier still looks best imho
The thin bezel looks great. But the buttons, the stitching on the band, and especially the dainty lugs are all a fail imo. And them omg, the price. Gear S3 Frontier ftw. I could never wear this lol.
Yeah, I liked the more rugged look too...hopefully they'll return to it...or go back to a classic/frontier kind of thing.
The Galaxy Watch 3 bezel is not deep enough as the Galaxy Watch and the Gear s3 so if it bump something you mite just brake it cause I have both the Galaxy Watch and Gear s3 plus the Gear s2
I love the Galaxy Watch, but i'm going to give the Galaxy Watch 3 a shot. Hopefully it lasts me 2 days with always on display. Battery Life has been one of the biggest things for me. That's why I don't even consider Wear OS as they all can't last that long.

For me the S3 is the best looking.
I am personally disappointed with galaxy at the moment, my galaxy A51 won't scan fingerprints it only gets to 20% and no further and it was like that out of the box and galaxy watch is hit and miss with the sleep app, might be time to try a different brand for me, sadly
Just hopping we get OneUi 2 in galaxy watch 46mm or else we will be very very disappointed- Samsung
I am sure we will get it, the question is will it be free from bugs? Remember the disaster the updates had on the Galaxy watch after the Active watch was released? Power usage dropped and it took there an additional 3 updates to get things fixed. Ugh.
Jibber Jab Reviews yea u r right... and still there are lot of bugs in galaxy watch sometimes after clearing recent apps it lags a little bit and also battery drains a lot faster and I hope it all gets fixed in upcoming OneUi 2 update in galaxy watch.
I tired to tweet to Samsung for this issue to give update of OneUi 2 in galaxy watch 46mm and I hope they listen us 😣 only than this galaxy watch will worth using for more longer time like for at least one year more from now.
Also I’m looking forward for to upgrade from Samsung to Apple next year.. only if Samsung will not bring update to its galaxy watch 46mm, I think it’ll be worth upgrading to Apple Watch next year I mean to series 7. I’d had rumours that Apple will be bringing circular shape to its new Apple Watch next year.

I know this is months later, but samsung currently is offering the watch3 for $85 with a trade in of the gear s3. With a declining battery, I took the trade in. Waiting on shipment currently.
@@DAV1023 did you get it yet? If so what do you think? I'm considering the trade in, but would hate to lose the Gear S3 if I don't like the Watch 3.
