    You, sir, are insane. And terrifying. You have my absolute respect - I've known that the Firestarter is the flat-out best light, but I've never dared to take them into high-end missions.

      They are really scary if you load them full of equipment. Light mechs are fun to play around with and if you get the hang of it, you can do five-skull missions regularly. I had a challenge campaign with light and medium MECs only, which was fun.

    When I first saw the title I immediately thought of a Flea with 5x ER Small Lasers putting out 200 damage per turn. I look forward to trying out your Raven/Firestarter builds tonight.

      Plus the fleas baffle make sit really hard to hit. High mobility, sure footing and baffle makes it a ghost that cannot be touched

    You changed my opinion of the fire starter completely!

      Thanks for the good feedback, appreciate that you now see it in a different light.

    Honestly, I absolutely love the idea of running full light lances.
    I have too much of a "large warship anachronistic" mindset... Huge ships are AWESOME but at the same time they're extremely expensive and can be outran. Sort of like the Baron from lore. My ideal role for heavy and assault mechs would either be mechs like the Charger or a heavy support LRM style Stalker, sitting in the back taking potshots at f@#$all everything while rapidly mobile mechs do everything in their god-given power to shoot and stab backs as if I was imitating House Liao homestyle hospitality.

      The light lance approach is a fun one, it requires a bit of dedication and some very specific builds, but it can be pulled off.

    Great video. Would love to see something similar but only using standard modules for early game applications.

      If I go back to the game, I‘ll keep that in mind.

    One question : when and where do you have these incredible weapons ?

    • @SykenPlays
      @SykenPlays  4 месяца назад

      Long time playing, most of them from rare salvages, pirate havens and some are mission rewards.

    Unlike the others this isn't even a late game Lance, though it's more consistent and secure with Ace pilots and high tactics for called shots.
    You can complete recovery, TA, and Assassin missions with minimal killing early game if you need to with a lance like this.
    Medium lances can and probably should be used this way so they don't end up torn to pieces.
    You can also use manoeuvrability to pick off strays and have long fights. sometimes though the map doesn't allow this.

      Very true Jonathan,
      sometimes you can just bypass the enemies and finish the mission or strike surgically. I personally always enjoyed light MECH gameplay, as it incentivizes creative problem solutions.

      @@SykenPlays I prefer brawler style combat so it should work out great for backstabbing attacks.

    4 wolfhounds.. Boom.

    • @SykenPlays
      @SykenPlays  2 года назад +1

      This is targetting the modless game with all DLCs, Wolfhounds are not included in that.
      They make for great Mechs though, if you play with mods.

      @@SykenPlays Isn't the Wolfhound a reward for the Morgan Kell flashpoint? Or am I imagining that.

    • @SykenPlays
      @SykenPlays  Год назад +2

      @@HeadHunterSix Yes, I think so, you can also buy them from the black market (which effectively allows buying all of the MECs in the game)
