    June 9, 2002
Water seeped from the track surface, canceling qualifying and setting the lineup on points. Sterling Marlin started on the pole. The video starts in the middle of the pre-race show, which features a very funny feature on Jimmy Spencer. Who knew he liked to garden?
Dale Jarrett took the lead and took his first win of 2002, his third overall at Pocono, after a flat tire denied Ricky Rudd his first win of 2002.

This Race Originally had 41 Drivers instead of the Traditional 43 but Carl Long and Frank Kimmel entered their Arca Cars to make it 43

Ricky rudd was a gracious driver. He knew at 5 laps left that he didn't have a car to win and signaled Dale Jarrett to go past him and take the lead to get a W. Most drivers would have stayed in the lead until their car was fucked

I was hoping that Ricky Rudd would win this race but that was not to be but I could also settle for dale Jarret.

Rudd could have one 6-8 races between 2001-2002. Just had rotten luck. Rusty took two races away from him. Lol
Crazy ending, to a typical pocono race. Can’t believe they used to race 500 miles. Pocono should never have been 500 miles.

Would Dale Jarrett have won at all that year if he had never gotten Todd Parrott back as a crew chief? You have to attribute TPs skill as a crew chief to DJs success with Robert Yates racing which began largely when dale took the red carpet Ford quality care car in 96 after ernie irvan came back into the 28 Texaco car. Ricky rudd was just never the same driver after he sold his team driving his own car with tide sponsorship. I am surprised that he didn't continue to win at least one race a year for RYR in the 28 since most Yates drivers always were factors in most races and all won 1-3 races a year or more each

Ricky won at Sonoma later that year which was his final win. He went to wood brothers and never had many chances to win

Ricky had arguably the best year of his career after selling his team. 2000 he didn't win but had double digit top 5s and finished 5th in points. Then 2001 he won 2 races in a year which he had only done 3 or 4 times his entire career.. never won more than 2. And he lead points and was top 3 in points nearly all year before finishing 5th again

On contrary 1998 and 99 in his own equipment were the 2 worst seasons of his whole career
