I’ve always been fascinated by these old coal fired power stations. I grew up in the shadow of the old Walsall B plant, which looked like a gargantuan monolith to my young eyes. Six massive cooling towers stood like goblets on cinder hill and the blackened ground gave it the look of the devils untidy workshop. I always wanted to see the inside of the plant but was never lucky enough to get the opportunity. I’m guessing it would’ve looked just like this one as it had stood abandoned for 5 years before finally being demolished. That was 1987.......
It’s always amazing how they build all that asbestos tents and walk ways from scratch. I have helped a mate build one for a job he did and it took all day to build then put the sheeting up on the sides etc. The fans would blow in fresh air
Glad you mentioned Asbestos on this one as it was making me nervous know how much of it can be in these places. Give me a shout if I can be of any assistance with advice on Asbestos.
You guys do take some risks and it is fascinating to look at what these places look like and wonder how someone worked out how the whole lot fitted together to safely make power for goodness knows how many people and that we need that knowledge in order to create the next more efficient way of achieving the same thing. Also can’t help wondering if there are other simpler ways of doing it. Perhaps there aren’t.
I have a feeling I know where this is, as I worked there as an apprentice in 1993 / 94. One of the jobs I had to do was replace a pressure gauge on one of the turbines. It used to be extremely hot in that area, especially in the middle of summer. A lot of good people worked there, if it’s the same place, sadly some of them are probably no longer with us.
It is always very special! We have been neglecting abandoned industry explorations recently, but we are getting back into them again now, and yes they know what we do and are relatively comfortable with it!!;)
Quality video as usual. Also can't help noticing that there's a stutter/pause in the cinematic shots, is that an editing thing or is your camera broken?
Yea haha it’s basically me being lazy and not recording long enough cinematics, so I have slo-mo’d them in order to fit with the music. It really annoys me when I don’t film long enough cines...
There is a lacking of them in the UK right now, except a couple others which are kept very low-key and are very difficult to get into. If you go abroad you’ll find many good ones :)
If you want a power station to explore, Hartshead power station still has a few remaining buildings and lots to see in terms of the railway goods yard and the conveyor systems
Excellent work. Just a comment - I find the red banner ads through the videos to be a bit distracting. They spoil the flow of the cinematography IMHO. Maybe have smaller transparent ones?
Depends on the Toys R Us state internally - most of the disused ones we have seen have been like empty warehouses which doesn’t make the most thrilling video
Hope you enjoy our new urbex adventure! Our donation links are in the description for any kind support towards the channel
Wow there are so many nuts and bolts its sad that places like this are vandalised thank you for taking us on your journey
Yea sad . Pricks can’t leave it alone and respect beautiful Industrial buildings

Great insight of what was once an industrial Goliath
Great explore ! I love massive abandoned industrial derelicts.

Love the channel
Thank you :)
That's why we love abandoned industry so much! However, do your parents know what badass stuff you're doing? 😂

thanks another great video
Nice one
Cheers Kurt looking forward to the weekend :3
Quite sad to see being an ex power station worker. Two I worked in have been demolished. Excellent video though.
Must to be sad to see such a common type of work slowly decreasing, thanks man
Deserve more likes and shares. Subbed.
Quality video as usual.

Thanks mate, do you mean at 9.43?
@@Urbandoned It's also around some of the intro parts.

Great video, as usual. Do you follow Broken Window Theory? Your styles are similar.
Thanks! And yes we enjoy their videos, that’s a compliment linking our videos to their’s as their’s are very good :)
Funny that the bolts were in SAE instead of metric.
Nice!!!
A shame I missed this one. I really wanted to shoot the turbine. I'm still yet to find a power station. Nice video.

I don't know what it is in particular, but all the "old" power stations in the UK tend to look a bit like Battersea.
Why is all the smok coming out the ground like that
HAVE PEOPLE NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN SMASH THE GLASS ON ALL THE OLD DIALS

Thank you and yes thanks for the feedback we’ll look to change them soon :)
I agree on that to
Smaller ones in the corner :)
you must be careful boys
Give me us a hint of location? i wanna check this place out! please
See the Scottish Hotel episode of Little Britain for help.
Good
:)
will you do a Toys R us explore?
Depends on the Toys R Us state internally - most of the disused ones we have seen have been like empty warehouses which doesn’t make the most thrilling video
Very nice intro with the music. Im also doing Urban Exploration videos so I would be glad if u check it out.
Thank you that means a lot
Hey guys long time! - Can you check DMs on 28DL
The intro is a little jarring, but I think I’ll get used to it.
