Was very easy to install after watching the video. I put both the drivers and passengers side on in less than 20 minutes total. And that’s including taking the old ones off and throwing them in the garbage can. I agree about the plastic; however, that’s what most things are made of today. I went to Wal-Mart and saved $40.00 on the pair from two different chain parts stores for the exact same thing. I would have paid $80.00 for the same wiper blades at the chain stores. I paid slightly less than $39.00 for the ones from Wal-Mart. I used the Michelin Endurance XT Silicon Beam wiper blades. Wal-Mart was out of the Michelin Stealth XT for my vehicle. But I bought the Stealth XT for my wife’s vehicle. If you are unable to install the wiper blades, Wal-Mart told me that they would install them for free. Can’t beat a deal like that. And I don’t work for Wal-Mart.

This is the most frustrating product I’ve ever bought for my car. The connector does not snap on

I had trouble as well but thought I would assist with helpful hints. When removing the preinstalled connector, it does not look like the one in the picture. There is no quick release tab. I used a flat blade screw driver. Flip the preinstalled connector so the opening that pin rotates around is away from you/towards the wiper blade. Insert a screw driver and lift up. The plastic will snap free with about (my guess) 5 lbs of pressure. Next, locate the connector (one of the three) that has the button release with the slide lock. (I hope I described it well). I believe it is the longest of the 3 that are supplied with the wiper. Install by snapping this unit in place the connector you just removed. While there are different size holes on the wiper, I believe the blade is symmetrical so one can not install the blade in the wrong direction. Make sure the locking mechanism is extended/not locked. Now is another tricky part. On the arm coming from the vehicle, you should see 2 openings for barbs on either side of the arm. You should also see barbs/points on the new wiper. Make sure you do not damage the plastic barb as mine appear to be rounded already (product defect?? can be fixed using hot melt glue if needed). Once the barbs are in place move the blade so the tab coming from the arm on the vehicle will go into the wiper. Slide the locking mechanism back over this tab. The blade should be secured by the barbs and the locking mechanism. I hope this helps.

Mark G is right on! The secret to getting the original connector off and the new adapter on is using a screw driver and pry the attached connector off. Don't worry, with consistant pressure the connector will pop off. Then you snap the new connector on and attach to the wiper arm. In my case, I have a 2014 GMC Sierra and the adapter slid right on and in place. Thanks for the help Mark!

looks like you're pushing the tab with your thumb, not pulling it

Seems like they've tried to re-invent the wheel. WAY too complicated. Changing a wiper should take 15 seconds - and other ones do. Between getting the old wipers off (also Michelins, but the design changed from the new ones), unpacking the new wipers from the very over-engineered, non-environmentally friendly container, reading and re-reading the confusing directions, replacing the mounting assembly on the new wipers with the alternate assembly, finally having to go watch this video (which wasn't much more helpful than reading the paper directions), I wasted at least half an hour. Don't know whether to blame Michelin or Ford. Maybe both?
I changed the wipers on a Scion at the same time as this Ford, and it took maybe 15 seconds for each wiper.

This is stupid. I've been trying for an hour to make these work and want to smash them.

I used to assemble bridges for a living, for 30 years. These are the absolute worst instructions I ever saw. I will never buy these again.

This product is good for filling landfills. Poor design, poor engineering. Lousy fit and finish. Pylon should focus on making something like plastic cups or drink umbrellas and leave any real manufacturing to some pros.
