I did twists one month ago and decided to loc my hair again. After having them 11 yrs the first go round I realized not combing my hair is something I like!
do the rice water method. ive been using it for almost a month & my hair is thicker, dandruff free & when i comb and brush it none of my hair comes out.
Thank you for this! I usually do this but put my hair in braids instead but twists I feel would look so much better. I’m going to do this today but instead braid the roots and I’ll definitely be keeping in this style for longer than a week lol there’s no way I’m spending this many hours on my hair to take it out after a week! I’m aiming for 2-4 weeks. Again, thank you so much :)
Your hair came out great. Funny thing but true story, I just finished my twist before I sat down and watched your video. It’s so dope when we can do a set of twist on our own natural hair instead of using extension al the time. This technique is the best for less manipulation. This style helps my hair grow a lot.
Lol this used to be my problem so from watching multiple YT videos, I learned two things: 1. Don't start twist on super wet hair, it has to be a little damp or dry is best because once you do the LOC method, your hair will dampen back up anyway, I usually wait til it's damp myself. 2. Don't put your bonnet on right away, give the twist some time to set, so I usually put it on after about 3 hours so yes I have to start my twists hours before bed time lol. Hope this helps!
Ms. Teela B I noticed that if I start my hair in the morning and let is air dry during the day by the time it time to put my bonnet on it almost dry-ish so the next morning they look like they have life 😂
For me, I don't twist my hair when it's soaking wet. I usually flat twist into several rows first (after washing my hair) put on a scarf and wait for my hair to dry and be stretched a little (for length). After my hair dries, I untwist my flat twists, one by one, and use leave in conditioner to do my twists. After I let it settle, I put on a satin and go to bed. Come morning, it still able to swish around.
Cadet M I just put my twists in a ponytail or pin it down it stays flat (luckily) an my twists look nice. Idk I have thick 4c hair and a soak and then use moisturizer and oil
What do if they skinny and haven't dried yet, I put the twists in braids so that when I take them out the next day and they not dry they would be curly firm the braids, which makes them look voluptuous. When they dry and it's curly, even better.😊
Wow ,,, I've been natural for almost 4 years & still waiting for my hair to be shoulder length like yours. My daughter shared your video, I'm excited to try this style for my hair. My daughters hair came out so beautiful after watching your video. Thanks for sharing
I have to say, I am happy that you are self confident and don't feel the need to always wear makeup in your videos. You are a natural beauty. Thanks for another great video!
I love the detail in this video and I would ask for more, lol! I get so frustrated because I do have a lot of hair but feel like I don't know how to part or properly space my twists and it just looks bad...I think with seeing exactly where you place your twists in each row in the back would help me know how to do that on my own hair. Thanks for the video! I loved it!
Ms, Jeanette, I really appreciate you sharing every step, I decided to do this style and it came out perfect although it took me a few hours, I am so Happy with my results. Thanks you so much. Looking forward to more! ❤
Jeanette I did micro twists (I called them mini but they were way smaller than yours so I guess they were micro not mini) & I used Curl activator gel. The activator gel kept my twists sooo moisturized! I kept them 2 weeks & only spritz with water about every 3 days. When I took them out my hair was defined, soft, & fluffy. I loved it so much I’ve re twisted (not micro, it took a long time to do) in small twist & got the same results 😁 I’ve made the activator gel a new staple. I’m wondering how it’ll do it the summer now 🤞🏽. Loved & enjoyed ur video as usual 🙂👍🏽👍🏽
I love the way this turned out. I finally found someone with hair just like mine. I wish mine was as thick. I've been debating if I want to do these mini twists. I may go ahead and do them after seeing yours.
Oh I just want to say that I LOVE your beautiful hair and you beautiful smile that makes you the lovely girl you really are! I love my beautiful twists too and my sister told me that she prefers twists over box braids. Twists makes us look elegant and our hair fuller! Thank you so much for your beautiful video! That smile just makes it shine along with your lovely twisted hair!
Thank you. Have you tried rubbing oils on you scalp? I have tried that and it thickened my hair, my intention was for a healthy scalp but my hair thickened as well
@@jeanettejbeauty6374 I think my stress is the cause of my hair thinning and not seeing progress. Which I will let my doctor know. Thank you if stress is not the case then I will try oiling my scalp more.
Great demonstration! I thought your hair type was 3c/4a, I guess because it's so thick and holds twists so well! I learned something today! Thanks for sharing curl friend, your hair is beautiful!
Your hair looks amazing. I need to learn how to do that with my hair. My twist are always sticking up like Alfalfa and looking dull. My hair dries out way to fast. I am going to try your methods.
just stumbled across your video. Girl, you got nuff hair. When you removed the t-shirt I was like 😳😯wow! crowning glory 😊 to die for. Almost two years into my natural journey by default, just beginning to see a little length, so there is hope.
I LOVE THIS STYLE! Its so cute and fun!😁 Also it's perfect for my hair type considering that my hair is soooo THICK! Thanks for this idea! I'm going to try it today!(January 27th 2019)
I just did this style on my 6 yr old daughter today. I started @ 1:00 and finished @ 4:30....her hair is BSL... Don't think I have the energy to do it again lol... Your twist are so cute
Love your channel and your hair soooo much. I love how in detail you are in your videos. I’ve learned so much from you and I’m about to start incorporating prepooing in my routine because of how much you love it and i learned so much about how helpful it is for hair. Fun fact! We have the same pink bonnet 😂
It's amazing how you can do your hair from the back and make the perfect parts. I tried this hairstyle this weekend for the first time and imy hair texture looks great but it's not this perfect. However I love it. I just wanted a fuller look on me and I thought my hair was so long that it'd come to my shoulders but I guess it will take some time.
I really love this look on you! Everytime I've tried it my twists never lay or fall or look as juicy as other people's. I always desperately want mine to look nice and wearable. I'm not sure if it's my hair texture or my technique that's the problem... I'll keep trying though.
breathtakingly beautiful!! I've seen box braids on people that seem to attempt this type of style but they NEVER looks as wonderful as your natural hair. you have rejuvenated me with this, we have very similar hair texture and I've decided to go ahead and try this for my hair. thanks sooo much for sharing. your hair is absolutely beautiful. Question: How long does this style last for you? Do you continually protect it w/ a bonnet at night? will you show a follow up vid of how it looks once you've decided to take it down and how long you opt to rock the "twist-out" once you do take it down? Thanks so much again for sharing -this is top quality info and generous of you to share and give motivation to people like me in a "hair slump"
