You had to disable the obstacle avoidance for some reason, so I opted for the Mini 3, which I received yesterday for $480 on a fly more combo plus. This package includes 2 pieces of 51-minute batteries and 1 piece of 28-minute battery.
I got the Mini 3 but I found out that it couldn't do tracking, follow me, accident avoidence and 3rd party App integration. You get what you paid for. I'll use the Mini 3 as a beginner's drone and move up to Mini 4 Pro after.
But… the one BIG difference is about ehhhh $1000 difference. I have the 2 . I’m not familiar with the se. I’ve got 1200 flights and it’s been perfect. You have to stay line of sight so during the day you really never go more than a mile of that. At night you can go further with good lighting but I still stay within a mile or two ( I’m close to a restricted zone on both sides anyway) I always tell people wanted to get in the hobby start with the 2. You can buy a recon or at even qvc on a 3-4 pay plan and it’s less than $100 a payment. Great video!!!
Hey! I live in a canyon and want to film a couple canyons over. Is this theoretically possible or will I lose signal? Is it possible to set coordinates for a drone to fly to that is several miles away?
What he didn't mention is if you use the larger battery you have to register your drone and have the P107 license since it weighs more than 249G. Larger battery has rdi built in battery, but the smaller battery you have to add an rdi sender to your mini drone ( sensor is $10 cheaper than the larger battery with it built in.
Would you say the mini se is a good enough drone for general photos and footage when going out for the day etc? I spend a lot of time at the beach and just want to get some nice photos from above 👍
If you re only gonna use the Drone for a few leisure shots here and there, get the Mini 2 Fly More Combo. You get batteries with the charging dock and a very good amateur drone, for ~200€ less the mini 3/pro. I got mine since 2 years and used it a lot on vacation, with friends etc. . Totally Happy with it . Im getting myself slowly the pro model, as i know now for what i can use it or need it.

The Mini 2 is great. The camera on the Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro is a big improvement, as well as the battery life on both drones to justify the upgrade from the Mini 2.

i dont understand this, i got a mini 2 se and ive seen people get up to 5km easily and i cant go past 200m and at about 150 the bars go yellow and i just randomly lose connection, I fly in the uk but still this range is outrageous. Can anyone help me on this?

A month ago i bought the mini 2 se. Would not connect to my phone so i eeturned and got the mini 3 pro with the rc controller. No need for phone. Have only had mine up twice but love it.

range on mini 3 pro is nowhere near what your saying. it will NOT repeat not g ofurther than the mini 2 it also does not last 38 minutes of flight time that is rubbish, its about the same as the mini 2 maybe upto 1 minute more....... these dji specs for the flight time are just so far off , nobody ever gets even close to dji times.
Information absolutely BS. You’ll never have range even more than 3km. You’ll never have more than 32mins flight time even with plus battery. And even more… more obstacles you have - less range drone will capable to fly. In real life it’s never been more than 1200 meters if you’re not on open field. Same with batteries - higher temperature, higher wind will make you flying less time. And don’t forget that drone have to return to the home point and it’s need to use batteries for that too.

Why ate u comparing the mini 2 se with those? The se is garbage kid toy. The mini 2 has a 4100 mah battery that gets 60 minutes of flught and 4k at 30 and 60 with sensors that small don't make any difference
Remember...... The plus battery takes you over that Magical 250g mark . Also at 60fps you lose the obstacle sensing .

It will depend, way too many variables to predict. You would have to test it. These drones do not have waypoints, so no.

The Mini 2 SE controller range is 10 kms but the drone only gets abnout 4kms of total range. so 2kms one way 2kms back

You are right but you can get the plus batteries which are 47 minutes. You are realistically getting 40 minutes but that is a big jump.

what total crap. the mini 3 pro does not go as far as the mini 2 when both using normal batteries. if your going for the plus battery then go get a modded batter ywith mini n2 and see the mini 2 obliterate the mini 3 pro for distance and flight time.

That is the rated battery life but you can take 5-10 minutes off that time.

Why ate u comparing the mini 2 se with those? The se is garbage kid toy. The mini 2 has a 4100 mah battery that gets 60 minutes of flught and 4k at 30 and 60 with sensors that small don't make any difference
