While filming a private video for my husband just hours before we say "I do" my videographer friend's and I encountered one of the worst humans out there, a Karen (and a Kevin).

I actually got anxious watching this, but Taylor you handled that well and I'm glad you refused to give that guy your name.
I was anxious while editing it! I hated this whole situation and didn’t want it to blow out of proportion but when he told me to get off the fence I lost it 🤣

Keep your personal shit to yourself and get therapy not abuse random strangers while drinking whiskey (a depressant) which will only make your mood / behavior worse, your mental health is your responsibility PERIOD.

He just made an @ss of him self calling the cops for nothing wasting time and resources. When the cops left any respect they (cops and 911) might have had for this guy is now gone.
I had a regular karen at my former job who tried hard to find out my name was ever since I put a stop to what she had been doing for years as a customer. So glad you didn't tell him your name. It's hilarious when they try harder too and still remain unsuccessful 😂 Congratulations on getting married! I've been watching your videos for years and I'm SO happy for you!!

@@sarnjes4810The building had storage units in the back, part of the job was taking those payments. She would pay a year in advance and come in saying her receipts from the previous year were incorrect like the date range section or the amount she paid or that the payment was for her other unit. She had 2 of them and would pay for them at different times, so she came in more than we would like her to. These receipts were never wrong but she would raise hell and take it out-I mean full on yelling and making a scene-on whatever teen was working that day. The teen would then give in to her and give her a free months rent that she wanted for the 'mistake'. I stuck around the longest of any employee they have had, I experienced her yelling myself and also heard from coworkers if she showed when I wasn't there. So I caught on and eventually pulled all old records which showed she had done this for abt 8 years to a different teenager each time. I showed my supervisor, who somehow didn't catch on before. Together we put a stop to her and boy you could see the fumes coming out of her ears!! 😆 After she was told no more free months she would come in & harass me bc she knew I had ruined her plan. I pissed her off a ton by not giving her my name. One time she wouldn't leave until I signed my name on her receipt so I would scribble unreadable gibberish as my signature 😂 I have lots of stories of pissing her off up until I left a few months ago. She was even asking around about me and those people came and told me! She became my stalker asking about me to customers. Asking my name, if they knew if I was from here, and even if they knew what car I drove bc she needed to leave something on it for me. LOL luckily no cars were mine bc I shared my car at that time and yes I was careful about my surroundings when I came and went to and from work! She was crazy! I could go on and on but I'll stop there. :)

Not only could you have gotten him from public intoxication, but I feel like you could have got him for filing a false report because you have proof of when you guys had the interaction there was no house party there was no party you guys were just recording a video and he was being rude and wouldn’t even let the video photographer. I'm grateful that the Airbnb host who threatened to call the cops on me (for her misunderstanding) didn't. I'm Black and cops in the area had murdered a pregnant Black woman that same day. The host thought I had more people than specified staying at her place. The people she saw standing off her property were waiting with me until the house was ready (because the host was late in preparing it and I had to check in late). How Airbnb handled my situation made me not want to use the service for a very long time.

MOST people in Sedona do NOT act like this. I grew up in Phoenix, went to Sedona many times. I actually just spent 5 days there in an AirB&B and just got back a few days ago. I’ve never came across people like that, most people there are so kind. There’s definitely a lot of “older” people that live there but don’t act like those dipshits

Yes. See what you think when you pop out that kid and you are in your dream home you just purchased for an ungodly price and your neighbor rents his house next door to 20 different people on vaca every weekend.
They weren't exactly nice but you also didn't try to explain what was going on. He gave you many chances to explain "I know I'm on private property, we are filing a video for our wedding hence why we rented the space." But at no point here did you try to explain. I get high stress situations and I live with anxiety and CPTSD, and it took me years toearn to use my voice in stressful situations. Use this experience to not hesitate to meet people where they are at, and use your words to shut them up.
The videographer tried to tell him what we were doing many of times. Did you see that part? He would not let him speak! I don’t believe someone that acts that way needs to know my business at that point. We knew we were on OUR airbnbs property! I think I was more than polite to this hateful man :)

Nobody is entitled to know what you are doing, but also nothing feels as good as putting an idiot in their place and making them feel stupid when they're acting so. That's all I was getting at. De-escalation should always be the goal, and from what I _heard alone\, I found times that could have been done. But I wasn't there and being there and seeing and experiencing is a way different thing than witnessing from audio. I hope you weren't offended by anything I said because I certainly wasn't trying to frustrate you, just bring about a new way to look at things and prepare for the future. If we can't learn and grow from our shitty experiences..well what other way is there making good out of a shitty situation other than that?
