  • Create Studio 3 has some amazing features that allow you to rotate a character in any direction you desire. This tutorial will show how to rotate the walking action so the character is walking toward you. It will also share how you can change direction of the character's walking action using the Character View animation.

    So cool to see the character rotation and the lip-syncing in action. Characters can now walk forward . Thanks Randy, for doing this so quickly after the release.

    Randy, thanks again. I attended the webinar yesterday and was blown away with this feature, lip-syncing and the realistic AI voices. I am surprised that more people are not using Create Studio. However, this may be as many have said, "A GAME CHANGER". I have Life-time membership so I got all of these features for free. It was well worth the cost. I love this software and it is becoming my one-stop shop for most of what I do with videos. Thanks for showing us the character view property I was trying to do this last night but could not figure out how to do it.

      You are welcome. CS3 features make lip sync, character changes, and character angles so easy to do. Happy Creating!

      @@randys_tips Yes, these are the features that I was wishing for so that I don't have to use other apps like Toonly to do lip-syncing. I would have been happy to have all of the characters with front and back views but they have "out done" themselves with the ability to ROTATE the character in 360 degrees AND being about to add components (e.g., hat, shoes, clothes, etc) and change the color and add accessories to the 3D object is a BIG GAME CHANGER. My hope is the other people will see this. The folk at CS seem genuine and they don't seem like they are in it to always make a profit off of you like other companies that I know in this niche.

      Do i get the lip sync and ai functions if i buy the 67 dollar lifetime create studio pro version?

    • @randys_tips
      @randys_tips  8 месяцев назад

      I found this website that does say the lip sync is available in the $67 version of Create Studio 3. createstudio.com/yt/checkout. However, the $67 version does not get all characters that the other higher priced plans get. Currently lip sync is only available to one customizable male character. I suspect the paid plans will soon see a customizable female character, but it is not certain the $67 plan will get it. The software does have many characters that are not customizable, but only those that are customizable can perform lip sync.

    I am very glad you explained this. It has been driving me nuts. I notice sometimes my character wants to "fast step" at the beginning of the walking animation. Is it only me?

    • @randys_tips
      @randys_tips  6 месяцев назад

      Actions have 1 to many loops depending on duration. I have noticed some actions having fast loops (unnaturally fast) when making duration smaller than the default. However I tried this on Tom's walking action and could never get the "fast step". Try changing your walking action duration slightly to see if that corrects it for you. All the best on your You Tube channel, I bet you have interesting stories to tell.

    Version 3 is definitely cool. I like the speech sync. Connecting the talking action to speech was hugely time consuming. It's not perfect tho. I don't think I've mastered it yet. Any tips would be great.

    • @randys_tips
      @randys_tips  8 месяцев назад

      You are correct that timing the talking action before CS3 was time consuming and painful. I imagine that the software will tweak lip sync and improve as it matures. If I find ways to improve the sync'ing I will let you know.

    • @masteryancodesan
      @masteryancodesan 8 месяцев назад

      @@randys_tips hey Randy - yea basically you create the character action, then create the text-to-speech import file - which now has AI btw (sounds a lot better). once you add the t2s file to the timeline, right-click and choose "sync with *character*"...
      the issue i have is the length of the two clips. if the character clip is shorter, the t2s file will be too long. i got around it by chopping the t2s clip into the size of my character clips making them the same size... but then sometimes i can't play the clipped t2s file.. i wonder if this is the best way. seems like a pain.
      long time follower. i learned some things from you a year ago when i first started with CS. i'm getting back into it on v3 to churn out some tutorial vids :)

    • @randys_tips
      @randys_tips  8 месяцев назад

      @@masteryancodesan I understand your question now. You can lengthen the action of the character video. At the beginning and ending of each action you will see a square box in the timeline. Mouse click the box at the end of the action and drag it to the right. That will add duration to the character's action. So drag right until the audio file is complete. You may need to reapply the lip sync on the audio track after changing the video duration.

  • @leb101user

    The issue is this:
    When you have another action before walking, it's very hard to change the direction.
    For example in my case: walking > dancing > pointing right > WALKING
    each action moves the character differently, I hope they'll come up with a solution soon.

    • @randys_tips
      @randys_tips  2 месяца назад

      Most actions besides walking look forward, which is why Create Studio does a rotation at start and end of the walking action. That's how they can walk right to left, stop, then dance facing forward. It does get tricky if you don't want the character walking from side to side, but Create Studio designed the walking action so that a side to side walk could be combined with other actions where the character is facing forward. Sorry, but this will always be the case.

      @@randys_tips Thank you, I'm still using Create Studio Pro (the older version). I mainly work with 2D animation and rarely used the 3D characters so I don't think I have a reason to switch to CS 3. What a shame.

    When will we get more 3d character creator

    • @randys_tips
      @randys_tips  9 месяцев назад +1

      Josh says soon (my guess some in Dec). What is really cool with CS3 is you can customize one character into so many different characters, that really explodes the number of characters that have the creator ability.

    CSP 3 is so cool ! Hi Randy should we now uninstall CSP?

    • @randys_tips
      @randys_tips  9 месяцев назад +1

      I am going to hang onto Pro for a little while. The first version had some characters I could not find in Pro, although it looks like CS3 may have all the Pro characters, elements, and features. If you decide to uninstall pro I recommend you go to settings and "Free Up Disk Space" before uninstall.
