- It's the return of my Spiral Granny Square!! but with a new twist this time. A 2 strand ONLY spiral granny square! Perfect for beginners. It's been, oooh.. how many years since my first spiral granny square now? 8 years? Many of you have asked over the years since if a spiral granny square can be made in just two colours, but not with 4 strands. I thought it impossible as a square has 4 sides, but here we are!

Suggested Materials
3.5mm crochet hook 🪝
DK/Light worsted weight yarn (yarn weight 3) 🧶

Thank you so much for this pattern!!!! I needed 2 squares for pockets and i really wanted a spiral look and this is perfect!!!! Thank you
I love this so much! I found this pattern while looking for granny square patterns to make a Christmas stocking; I saw this and immediately knew I had to use it because it's like those swirly peppermint candies!
I'm addicted, can't wait to make a granny square cardigan with this pattern. Thank you
BTW I have never made a granny square b4
OMG ! This is genius ! Thank you for the easy to understand directions and tutorial. I crocheted along with you and have a beautiful spiral granny that I could never accomplish before !
You are so welcome! That's wonderful!
I changed the size of the needle and thread and now I'm making a couple of these to make a plus size tank top or a small purse.
I love this pattern and the video was so easy to follow! Thank you for doing these.
Wonderful!
Thank you, best tutorial I have seen and tried for a square spiral. I have made it a lot bigger and it turns out fantastic.
Wonderful! That's great to know for others ☺️
That’s what I came here to find out! 😂😂😂 I have started watching RUclips on my Roku TV and even though I can read comments on there, I can’t interact with them.❤❤
Very clear instructions and a lovely pattern. Thank you
You’re so welcome ☺️
This is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing. I'm going to (attempt) a blanket in cream/beige or light neutrals, for a baby boy bassinet blanket. Thanks again, from New Zealand xx
Sounds beautiful!!
Omg this is the one I was looking for so easy and my square came out perfect thank you so much 💜💜💜

No way this can be as easy as you make it seem. I have to try it😊. Thank you
I hope you enjoy!!
This is so cute. 😻😻😻 Thank you, mam. ✌🏻😻🧶
Glad you like it!
it worked great for a baby blanket
I love this tutorial❤
Brilliant! ❤
Actual gasp when I saw how pretty this was!
Aww thank you!
Love it!
I love the look of this spiral square and want to try making it larger. Blanket size if possible! ❤❤❤
I was thinking the same thing! Just keep going and going and going til I get one giant spiral!
Thank you for this pattern, I am for sure going to try this. Would you be able to design granny squares with dinousore figures. My great grandson asked me to crochet him a blanket with these. Yet with all my searching on RUclips and the net I could not find any with Dinousores. You would really be making a great grandson and his great granny's heart very happy.
Aww I'll have a think! I usually struggle with dinosaurs 🦖🦕 let's see ☺️🍀
The twisted square is gorgeous. Can't wait to see the blanket of squares! 🧶
Question, I make a bunch of squares in a different pattern. But the are a tension than the older ones.
Any suggestions as to what I should do about this conundrum?
Thank you for videos, they are special.
Joanna
I'm so happy you like the square! Thank you ☺️ I'm not quite sure what your conundrum is though, can you explain further? I'll see if I can help. 🤗
I made a number of granny squares but at different times. As a result, some of the squares are smaller than the others. I wondered if you would have any suggestions as to what to do, but I suppose that I will simply have to redo the smaller squares. Any ideas are welcome though. Thank you.
I loveeee these
I'm so happy you like them ☺️
I was wondering if this would be possible to make with three colors instead of two? I’m making a blanket with granny squares of different sizes and patterns and I would love to make a 15”x15” square like this with three colors for it ☺️
I really like this pattern , do u have a video on how to connect the spiral squares to make a baby blanket
I'm happy you like it, there's no joining video though as this tutorial is very new
Thank you very much for this tutorial, very educational, I made grandma's granny with a cheap, coarse thread, to practice and it turned out very well (unfortunately, I can't send you a photo). Again, thank you very much, greetings from Venezuela 🇻🇪 🇻🇪 🇻🇪 Please excuse my English
Those would make cute earrings
I have made few granny square in this pattern kindly upload some projects using this pattern
Love your granny squares - such interesting ideas! How do you join them? I have some squares - knitted and crocheted - and would like to join them but don't really know the best way to do it. Are you doing a video on this at all?
I'll definitely be looking at a joining video for all my squares when the time comes, I think it'll be interesting and useful when working with so many different squares ☺️
crazy part, I used 4 colors. just by nterwining them. Example: Blue= red and orange, Pink= yellow and green. bassically, I do multicolor on a daily.
can this be done with a larger hook?
I was wondering if this could be made larger to make a blanket
Give it a try! I've not tested the pattern so if you do continue do come back and let others know ☺️
I definitely will thanks for the tutorial love everything you do
Do you have a written pattern or one with diagram for this?

@@HappyBerryCrochet thank you 😊
@@HappyBerryCrochet
Can you do this in single crochet
No, as this pattern contains other stitches than just double crochets
Is the needle really necessary
You can try using your crochet hook instead
I would like to do this as a dishcloth. I thought maybe making 4 and sewing together or continuing the rounds. What sounds good to you?
4 together would look so amazing! ☺️

Ma'am please if you can make Hind ❤❤❤
Newt o the channel. Working with something so tiny it’s hard to see what you are doing.
Umm this is a fairly standard yarn weight?
I have problems working with the small hooks but with her clear instruction’s we can use different yarn size and different hook sizes too. ❤❤❤
