Totally agree, there's no going back to that wonderful time. I was 10 in 86, we moved to the countryside - wow, out every day in the woods, the sun - lovely neighbours, lovely family and pets. Trips to the beach, holidays - life was warm, not just in the summer. The TV shows, the cartoon films - Christmases. Wow. Just look at what they did to this country, my god. Look at it now, it's like a vision of hell, utter hell. Least we were lucky enough to be growing up in the 80/90's, aye.

Does anyone else listen to this song and just... something in your brain snaps? Every time? Not like you go crazy and not like you are mad or upset with anyone or anything, but like.. you just feel sad? I don't know. It's not really like sadness like you're mourning a loss or you're down about something bad happening. But sad like you don't see your future? Like you don't know where you're headed? Sad like you aren't sure people like you, want you, love you, despite saying otherwise? Like you have a good life, family, girlfriend, and job. But something is off? I can't shake it. It's just day after day. I feel sick, but not physically. Mentally, I'm ill. I have medication but haven't taken it in weeks, why should I? Songs like this remind me that there could be more. They remind me that outside my deadend job there was once a life for me. Outside these shitty computer games I used to have friends. Now? Nothing, I guess. Melodramatic I guess, but this song just hits that spot. It's so good, yet so heavy. It makes me miss a time long gone. A time where I lived with my family, where I was in high school and didn't have to work. It reminds me of a time where I was happy. Before this sadness controlled me. Before this depression strangled all hope for enjoyment. I smile, laugh, appear happy. I'm really not. It's no one's fault but my own. I do this to myself. But I can't kill myself because then who would be sad? My family? Girlfriend? Siblings? That isn't fair to them. It isn't fair to anyone. This song is too good.
As a man who suffered, and i mean SUFFERED from heavy depression about 8 years and eventually almost succeced at killing himself, i want to tell you something. Don't give up. You don't need to believe or hope, just know: things can be better. It doesn't mean it will be all good, that life will be full of joy, laugh or happiness. Pain will happen, such as tears and sorrow. But it's okay. It's all part of life. But important thing, life will be. You're important. Your life have meaning, even if you don't see it right now. Try to get help again, resume treatment. It will be better. I'm still fighting my illness, sometimes it's really bad and dark, not gonna lie. And probably, i will struggle with it until my last day. But little light at my life that i have right now, and a chance to be happy worth to keep going. I know how hard it can be, i feel you. Keep your head up

I feel almost nothing at times, maybe i would want to research more about stoicism, nihilism, or some mysterious word found in the dictionary...nothing. This song together with the video makes me think that there was a specific designated period in people's lives when they could be this carefree, let go even for a while or not have at all any weights and troubles on their shoulders pressing them down into the ground, but letting them spread their wings and feel happy and relaxed as easy as floating. Makes me think that the older we get, the less of this we have: we don't enjoy the little things nor have fun out of nothing but worry and stress not because we want to but because life beat us up way too many times that we might see getting up to be useless only to have our peace crushed again. I do feel that even though we are getting old and life's struggles are getting bigger and heavier, to always have this playful side that we let loose and forget even for a few moments about all the bad things and just enjoy whatever simple things we can do and have around us, to get and experience that carefree state back because it's just too good to burry it in the ground where our life pressed us.

Alright, day five of 12 hour days in the office with this on non-stop. The sales people are losing it, so sick of hearing it over and over, but I cannot stop. This is an absolute cinematic masterpiece I am not sure how you made the movie fit the music but it is quite literally mesmerizing. I have never even heard of the movie and I cant wait to watch it. Although i know I will be dissapointed when the scene comes on and this isnt playing.

I still experienced the technology from the mid to late 80's starting from when I was 3 or 4 years old - NES, VHS, all the analogue to digital transformations, the movies of the time. The 80's carried well into the early 90's. Obviously would have been cool to experience more years of those times but I'm happy to have been able to see and engage in the metamorphosis of technology that most never had the chance to.
When this movie came out I was 16 and my town didn't have a Target, and it certainly didn't have a Jennifer Connely..This mashup seriously has a good vibe to it. Been playing it for hours in the background.

This ports me back into the late 80's, as a kid enjoying living in the countryside - with my father, before the drugs took him - we had it all, nice big house, beautiful dog, great area - you could go and do what you wanted without worry. The UK WAS the UK, not filled with immigrants who hate this country, that are here to suck it dry and cause misery to the rest of us who have lived here for years. It's sad, so much has changed, looking at this is a different world. All my family is now dead, I have no friends left - I smile in the shadows, and give them all a hug. All the good people who have died. Life goes by so quick.

A year late in the reply but here it goes: I'm an atheist, but if there were a heaven, this is what I hope it would be. I've only had a few of these moments in a long life and now my life is almost over. I welcome the blackness after 18 months of nearly unbearable pain, but if I had a choice......
