The colder the water is, the more dissolved oxygen it can hold.

When you get a chance, take a look at my tug "Atlantic". I just did a re-power and conversion from azi-pods to Kort nozzles. Heck of a difference in handling, lemme tell ya! I think she'll pull better now though, and should have near on a 20 mile range!

Hi Tim, I worked on a tunnel under the Severn and Wye rivers in the west of England/Welsh border, the seven had several nuclear-powered power stations and the tunnel was for the national grid distribution cables. Fishermen were restricted on where they could fish as the outfalls from the station were warm and some strange looking fish could be found there. Severn salmon are famous for being caught along the north shore away from the stations, also the river has the 2nd highest tide rise and fall in the world. Coned shaped wicker baskets in a timber frame would stretch out from the shore. Also, there were licensed beach fishermen with an open fronted net on a long pole, would run along the beach chasing the salmon and hopefully catching it.
My father was the works superintendent and there were a father and son, fishing team who asked for time off. My father met the son in town and asked when they would be back to work. Knowing they were fishermen he mentioned he did like salmon, next morning there was a good yard long salmon laying at the front door.

Captain Tim, did I hear you right that you are going back to New York ??? In the late fall and early winter ??? Have you forgotten the squalls , gales , nor Easters , sleet and snow ??? It will cost you a fortune to fly up there with all the foul weather gear you will need. Oil skins, sea boots, maybe even a sou wester for your head? Great set up description (Chart, Weather, Hook Up etc ... ). Cool video that you can successfully sail so close to the visual shallows. Noticed your guy walking back dragging a line. Reminds me of a story of a little boy pulling a rope and was asked why are you pulling that rope. And the little boy looks at the rope shrugs his shoulder and says "It's earlier than pushing it". Interesting arrangement on the assist tug. What is his usual set up for?
