Thank you for this video and addressing this topic. I related to a lot of these struggles. I wish my church did more for singles. I've mentioned this to a couple leaders and also tried to address this through leadership myself, but nothing has really changed. Other struggles I've experienced as a single: Traveling alone and having to pay extra for things; having to find strangers to help with things like moving or rides after surgery; receiving poor service when dining out alone (aka being forgotten about by servers, addressed as 'you guys' even when I'm alone, or hostesses assuming I want the bar).
Okay as a single 37 year old man never married I must say. Reason why I believe most church buildings don’t talk about singleness as much is because they think being married with family is more interesting I might be wrong that’s what I think. Too married folks they look at singles as of we have nothing too worry bout other than a place too stay our relationship with God working and tinkering with our hobbies things we enjoy doing in life. Like me I have more time too mess with my radios and speakers fluorescent lights I most more likely will put on a back burner if I found a girlfriend or a wife instead of buying speakers radios I’ll be investing in her instead. You’ll learn allot by watching listening over the years I just wasn’t necessarily into a relationship in my 20s I was more into those things I just mentioned. And where else can you go to meet people besides bars and clubs church buildings? Unless you strike up a conversation at Walmart or somewhere as you pass each other by.
It can sometimes feel hopeless, it's true, but holding onto the bigger truth that you are loved by God is a great source of hope (and also probably puts us in a better position to date and marry)
@@michaelnjio no woman ever told me she liked me, nobody wanted to even date me. i never kissed or made love. that is proof for me that woman dont like me.
Wow could you go to them and tell them that you feel you can’t trust them to respect your privacy. Ask them to promise to never read your private stuff. Maybe get a journal with a padlock too 🥰
Tricky - maybe try to use a question with a very open answer like: what would your perfect day look like? If she's still giving you one word answers, it's probably not worth pursuing anything further - you want a partner who communicates with you after all
@4:01 mins "... constantly talking about relationships can become an idol as well" BS! Having unmet basic human needs for connection, love and belonging are legitimate concerns, as much as eating drinking and breathing needs must be met for human life. Stop this imbecilic shaming of people!🇦🇺

Very real struggles - too true
Being a single Christian can be challenging. Some people will think you are snobbish while others wouldn't find you exciting enough
True

Yeah, generally being married with a family is more valued / accepted in churches which is flawed
Encouraging video-well presented and thought through with spiritual insight.God bless!
Thanks
The "problem" for me is that i know no woman will ever like me, so i cant get married. so sometimes it makes me sad thinking about it.
What makes you think no woman could ever like you?
Wow you have made such a blanket conclusion about yourself. I think it'd be better to leave the choice to them rather than cancelling yourself.

How do I respond to a girl who sends single word responses?

She’s not interested, move on. Simple
Ask her does she have depression.... if she says she doesn’t then don’t bother responding anymore x
Sometimes you just have to take it on the chin and move on, not always something you can do mate
Move on! Forget about her, as she is obviously not interested in you.
How can I join please?help
Where are you based?
