Wow, Michelle. That is THE best description of 12 step programs I have ever heard. If anyone has any doubt about what 12 step programs are about, you totally covered it in your talk. I encourage anyone to listen to Michelle's explanation of 12 step programs and check a few meetings out! This is so great. I love the debunking of the myths . I run into so many people who are afraid this is a church cult because most 12 step meetings are at churches. I always need to explain that churches have many rooms that aren’t being used during the week and that’s why 12 step groups meet there! Always great content!!
That's so true- I never thought of that connection but you're right. Some people are hesitant because the meetings are in a church!
