@@Valorie0221 How did you come to that conclusion? Have you explored all aspects of reality and the universe and know with absolute certainty God is a myth ? Seems to me with your statement you have a burden of proof in taking the proposition that God is a myth. That’s an absolute truth statement I don’t think you with absolute certainty can prove.

My Great Grandfather, Haskell C. Baker is listed as Track Foreman, Water Power Plant on the 1930 Lexington County Census. My Grandfather, George McCartha was listed as a Laborer on the dam. He married Haskell's daughter, Annie in 1929, who I was told worked in the company store.

I used to wonder what was inside these towers when I lived in Columbia, S.C. in the 1950's. We used to drive over the dam and try to imagine what was going on inside those towers. I would also like to know if there is a video showing what is inside of them.

Such an amazing capture in history. The equipment they had was not as modern as it is now and they were able to create something that started out so young and is so beautiful today. I know if the ancestors can see it now, they would be so happy. We must strive to try our best to take care of it.💙

If you drive over the Dam now you’ll see lots of activity. Barges and Tug boats. They’re hsving to replace the Gates way down inside the towers. They completely removed the brick structures on top to allow acess with a crane to remove the old ones and replace them. They rebuilt the buildings on top but the roofs are still off as they continue. Its interesting..

A NICE VIEWING OF CHANT CALLING FOR RR TRACK WORKERS!!
WHILE ONE COMMENTER CALLED THEM CHAIN GANG, THEY DO NOT APPEAR TO BE PRISONERS, AS THEY ARE ALL GARBED IN RAILROADER TRADITION!
    KEEP THEM ROLLING BROTHERS!!

Which black towns JaVion? Can you be more specific or are you just repeating what you’ve heard in an echo chamber? I just saw your comment another lake video and you repeated the claim there too. “Maroon colony”? You want a marker, erect one yourself! That’s what my family did. We may not have anything in common in life and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that but the one thing we do .. we both have family out there, your loss no greater or less than mine.

Both sides of the dam are in Lexington county. Only a small amount of shoreline on lake Murray is in Richland county and it's near chapin I think, going by memory. I think just about all of the shoreline that is in Richland county is privately owned, so not sure what public parking you're referring too?
