I just flew home from Iceland lastnight, I saw the glow of the Volcano from Helgafell whilst chasing the Aurora, Sky Lagoon, and on the way to the airport at Keflavik. I love Iceland, such a beautiful country with amazing people, all good wishes to them and all the people working hard to keep the power plant and the blue lagoon safe from the lava...I am looking forward to coming back to Wonderful Iceland 💚

It seems that those with RUclips channels who are not in Iceland are the only ones making a big fuss of this.
Icelanders are fully aware that they are living on top of some very mobile ground and have done for hundreds of years. No panic.
Why panic? The lava will do what the lava will do and, if possible, some of it can be persuaded to go elsewhere or become part of a defensive wall.
Geology does what it does while we float around on top 😊

Thanks for the update Gylfi. I don't have Netflix, I prefer to watch Just Icelandic and other video's on You tube. Best regards and best wishes from NZ.

I'm very glad that it seems that the Blue Lagoon and powerplant have been saved one more time. Looking at this from the U.S., you wonder why such a fuss is being made over one tourist attraction/hotel and one power plant, but in the context of a small country with around 400K people, the power plant and hotel/lagoon are huge investments.

Bravo Iceland. Thanks for posting. Pleased to have helped clear up previous eruptions (looking at our lava candle holder!)

Thank goodness it has worked to slow the flow down long enough to be able to heighten the berm. Kudos to the construction crews and engineers. A job well done in extreme conditions.
