Welcome to this all tone demo of the Rickenbacker 620! Plugging into a Fender Princeton Reverb and using a Keeley Red Dirt for the overdrive. Blend is set relatively neutral - this video does not feature the Ric-O-Sound, but that will be in another video!

Hi Jack. Very, very nice feel & great tone. Well I liked your RUclips video so much I ordered a Rickenbacker 620 Fireglow in June, 2021 from Musicians Friend and I was told it would arrive possibly in February, 2022. Next thing I know I received it November, 2021. It sounds and looks beautiful. Now I understand that "Rickenbacker Sound & Feel". Great neck, fret polishing and fretboard. Thanks for inspiring me to be a better player and to work harder and enjoy the love of music more. For those interested try Dave's Guitar Shop and or Guitar Center in Natick, MA. They both have more Rickenbackers in stock than just about anyone.

The 620 has the nicest body it’s like the 4003 bass in style. I prefer the toaster pickups to the hotter ones they use now but they all sound excellent. Modern pickups remind me of P90s but with jangle.
P90s with jangle is EXACTLY how I describe them. I also call it “essence of Ric.”
Have a mapleglo 620 upstairs, which I have not played since moving into my new house. Just seen your great demo. Think its time for me to pull mine out, too.

People check.out those clean tones! Those Rickenbacker Hi Output Pickups can sound really nice! And yes, you can still get that lovely Rick chime out of them! Die-hard toaster pickup buffs are much too quick to condemn the Hi Outputs! You've only got to work with, and familiarize yourself with them!

I’ve seen that rickenbacker hanging on your wall and wondered when you were going to say something about it. You still haven’t. :) To be honest, I have never seen anyone actually play leads on a Rickenbacker that I can remember. That middle position sounded amazing. General question: Do you do your own set-ups and tweaks?

Btw, I think you could plug a vacuum sweeper into that super deluxe and it would sound like magic
It has loads of bass on the low e string, but then the rest of the strings sound clear and bright. I wonder how they do that.
Some days ago my 620 neck pickup doesn't work. I unscrewed plastic cover checked wire but found nothing wrong. Assembly back the cover and the neck pickup is back to work. Wondering what's wrong...
Do these Rickenbackers balance well on the leg when playing sat down? The balance of a Strat is one of the reasons I like them so much.
I'm still waiting for my real Rickenbacker 381. Smashed the fake one on stage last night during the local Spring Music Festival. It was quite satisfying to smash that damn fake guitar.
