This is really a great 80's pop song. The right producer this would've been a hit

I'll always remember the first time I saw this Washburn/Laney ad in a Guitar magazine... I thought... are they trying to make Ace look like Bruce Lee?

I first saw that picture/ad on the front inside cover of Circus magazine back in April 1986. It was a full page ad. I cut it out and taped it to my bedroom door.

That guitar is so badass. Ace said he doesn’t feel as comfortable on it. Too bad cause it looks awesome. Unique.

Ace said the guitar sounded horrible, but had to use it cos of his sponsorship deal with washburn. He shortly after broke off the deal and switched back to a les paul and Marshalls.

Muy bien track, movido y vigoroso, el riff muy pegajoso, pero creo que los teclados se escuchan fuera de contexto de lo que es Ace. No que estén mal, por el contrario, hacen buen arreglo, pero de repente como que no suena a Ace 😁

Remember hearing this demos before Frehley's Comet album comes out and was sooo exited for that album to come out / and Todd totally ruin that album and Frehley's Comet / That is the truth/ the whole truth / and nothing but the truth he simply did not fit / the vocals the songs playingstyle had nothing to do on a Ace record / It should have been a Ace Frehley Record 👍

🗽This track should've been on the first 1987 FREHLEY'S COMET album instead of "Something Moved" which I think is
the weakest song on that album, by far. Ace should've also used "Back Into My Arms Again" & "Give It To Me Anyway"🪐

    • @DemosnRarities
      @DemosnRarities  8 месяцев назад +1

I totally agree. "Back Into My Arms Again" and Give It To Me Anyway" would have been Hits if they were released back in the day.

      @@DemosnRarities
Around this time, 1984-89, I think Ace's material is way better than the material KISS produced + Ace STILL had his RAD
mystique since he still refused to show his face! When he finally did, in '86/'87, he looked so raw & "spaced out".😲Whoa!
With his make-up during the 70's he looked so androgynous. If Ace had added these 3 songs mentioned above & removed
"Something Moved", I think the first '87 "Frehley's Comet" album would've tied his '78 solo album, easily. It's THAT GOOD!💥

As a matter of fact, correct me if I'm wrong, I think the picture you're using for this upload is THE VERY FIRST official picture
of Ace without his silver-stars applied over his eyes. My guess is the picture, w/ Ace in his red jumpsuit, his Washburn AF-40
lightning bolt axe, promoting the new series of Laney amps, is from ca late 1986, right? It's still hard to imagine THAT FACE!😝

I disagree with some of that. Just my opinion obviously, but something moved is a good song. A great song actually with the intro. Calling to you is probably the one I’d say is the worst on the album. Again just my opinion would love to read what you think

Hey! This was the 80's, Ace Frehley and Tod Howarth was just getting to know each other... History shows that the SpaceAce and TodBoy was a match made in heaven!!! Their project Frehleys Comet is magnificent!!! (Even if this song isnt)...
"Loser in a fight"... Their voices, their instruments, their collaboration... Magic...
