I've no idea what was going through their minds when they were making certain characters and the whole chapter endings bs in more recent tekken games. Yoshimitsu has always been my favourite since I was a kid and seeing him turn into an octopus and getting kneed in the nuts by a german trap is just a disgrace, a violation of human rights. Disgusting!

Tekken Yoshimitsu gets a 9.5/10 and Soul Calibur Yoshimitsu gets a 6.5/10 gameplay wise plays like Tekken version which is a plus but lore and story wise minimal importance I feel that version is completely overshadowed by the likes of your Siegfried, Kilik, Sophitia, Nightmare, Cervantes, Zasalamel, Raphael etc in Tekken he seems more relevant to the lore and is interesting character but in SC not too much imo.
The endings have gotten worse and worse every game. At least for the lower tier characters. I agree they did Yoshi dirty for 7. I expected a lot more from such an iconic character. They’ve already made complete jokes out of Paul and Law. Paul Phoenix, the guy who defeated Ogre in the third tournament in his first form, and they treat him like a scrub in the later games. Mother fucker can punch through giant boulders the size of houses. Do why they keep on with this shit. It’s not cool or funny at all to see awesome characters in older games being ridiculed like this. It’s not like they have a shortage of goofy ass fighters. Save that bullshit for Lucky Chloe or Panda.
Paul phoenix was also the rival of kazuya mishima in tekken 1 And the match was a draw After that we never got a canonised rematch More like supposition quotes like in SF vs tekken Kazuya will say hmph its time to end this feud Or in the tekken tag 1 Paul outro you see a flashback In one instant kazuya seem to appear And then kuma comes and paul burning fist him down to the ground When he search for kazuya Is gone
Gona give my boy Yoshi a stealthy 8/10 I like that he’s a serious ninja doing the Robin Hood thing. His costumes change every game and I like it but they seem to change for no reason. And he’s crossed in Soul Calibur. Very badass.

But his costume design sinces around 4 has been overdrive or ridiculous. He has to many moves that either knocks you out or nearly kills you, never got much out of him when I played him. But I think he's got skill he is hardcore if at least to fight against. 7.5 almost a 8 but the self hurting or knock out hurts him

i think yoshi could get 10/10 but for me the following takes points of. his character design has for reasons unknow to me become worse over the yeahs, from his cool and my personal favorit T2 design to a ninja part maschine design to a okay cool but a bit on the cyborg/robot alien thing but still good in T3 to insect/fly thing in T4 to full on robot or zombit in T5 and well you get the point. his fighting style: i hate how many self hurting or easy to setup himself in a bad situation moves he got. love the shark combo and helicopte moveline and yes got some sweet sword and kick action. but all his spin moves high or low kick or fist leaves him dizzy, he has i believe 3 moves of hurting him self. stabing himself, his backroll and one more i cant recall of the top of my head. an lastly T7 storyvize i know just about everyone was done dirty but come on so 6/10 still good but the design and thoses moves and story
