WHERE IS NEPHI FROM?
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City in the Philippines but I have been moving and living in different countries due to the nature of my work. I’ve lived in countries like Singapore, Japan and the US due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel but I am currently in Indonesia thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Former band vocalist of Akita performing at K-Pub in Ayala Cebu, Philippines (2019-2020)
Former band vocalist of Big Three Band performing in Yokohama 7, Yokohama, Japan (2014-2016).
Former member of the Filipino Voice Symphony (2010-2011) where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our singing group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
Former university choir and singing trainer at Technological University of the Philippines Visayas.
WHAT IS THE GREATER GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.

The Dreamies are the youngest members in the NCT brand. They debuted in 2016, when they were still really young. Jisung, the main dancer and the youngest, was 14 y/o then. You already heard Haechan, the one belting high notes, in the ballads you watched from NCT 127. Haechan (main vocalist) and Mark (main rapper, main dancer, leader of NCT Dream) are also members of NCT 127.

NCT DREAM is the teen-aged unit of NCT debuted on 2016. Consist of 7 Members: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung. Mark and Haechan are also part in NCT 127. They have Graduation System where members have to leave once they are no longer teenagers so Mark Graduated year 2018. However, SM Entertainment announced that NCT Dream will no longer have the graduation system so Mark is Back and they are now a fix unit. Hot Sauce is there first Full-length Album and the Tracks are all great. Hello Future is their repackage Album. I hope you would react to the Album😊. And all members of NCT or All sub-unit of NCT are collaborating together every 2 years. There was NCT 2018 and NCT 2020 also they have NCT 2021 project coming very very soon.
Haechan is the one you notice in From Home MaMa rearranged version the one you said that looks like D.O's younger brother.

Haechan is one of the top tier vocalists of NCT. Every song he is in, his vocals delivers that extra spice and kick to it. You need to react to Quiet Down, you can hear their lower register.

All the NCT units do perform together. When that happens, they are called NCT U (united). You’ve seen their live performance of “From Home” MAMA live stage before and three Dream Members were actually a part of that song.

NCT will add member whenever SM wants.

Thanks for reacting to their latest song! They're nct dream the youngest nct unit. The one who's belted most of the high notes is Haechan the main vocalist. He and Mark are also part of nct 127. Check them out too, they just released Favorite which is so good.

B-sides from their full length album I’ld recommend would be ‘Dive Into You’, ‘ANL’, ‘Irreplaceable’, ‘Be There For You’ and ‘Rainbow’. I think you’ll enjoy these too!
A personal fav NCT Dream title track before Hello Future would be ‘Boom’. If it’s 7Dream, it’ll be ‘We Go Up’. Would also recommend checking out ‘Don’t Need Your Love’ which is a collab with HRVY.
Some other B-sides I’ld recommend would be ‘Walk You Home’, ‘Dear Dream’ (which was a farewell song as Mark was graduating from NCT Dream at that time) and ‘Puzzle Piece’.

NCT Dream is the 3rd sub-unit of NCT and personally my fave. NCT Dream is the unit thats about youthful concepts and cheerful songs. There are 4 sub units of NCT:NCT U, NCT 127,NCT Dream and WayV. NCT is just the umbrella of the whole thing like the brand. NCT also has unlimited members meaning members are added almost every year. Currently their are 23.
Haechan and Chenle really served in the high vocals in this song. You should check their live performance for songs from their latest album.

To answer your question about if the NCT units interact, yes they interact socially very often and the units collab. Also the units have members that overlap. Mark and Haechan are in 127 and Dream, Winwin is in 127 and WayV. There's 23 members and 4 units: 127, Dream, WayV and U. They use the unit NCT U to combine random members of the other 3 units to make new songs depending on who fits the concpet. They also frequently do covers with their members from other units. NCT does this thing called their year projects (NCT 2018, NCT 2020, and NCT 2021 is coming) where all the current members come together and release an album and they have songs where the entire group sing and perform together. NCT's concept means they add members almost every year so they started off smaller and will only get bigger. Their full group songs are Switch (14 members), Black On Black (18), and Resonance (23), you should definitely chekc them out.

Basically, NCT is group from SM Entertainment which concept is to have unlimited members. More members are going to be added to the group over time. The whole NCT has 23 members at present.
NCT has 4 sub units or sub groups (NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream & WayV)
• NCT U - ‘U’ stands for ‘United’. This is a rotational group, which means every comeback or song there is a different combination of members. Whoever SM thinks fit the concept. So there could be 2, 4 or 7 members. For easy recall, fans usually calls every NCT U unit by the title of the tracks they participated in (e.g. 90s Love unit, Make A Wish unit, From Home Unit, etc.)
NCT 127 - 127 stands for the longitude of Seoul, SoKor. The goal of the group is to spread KPOP and Korean culture from Seoul to the rest of the world. This is a FIXED UNIT. Originally a 10 member unit, they are currently promoting with 9 members due to member Winwin being inactive in the unit.
NCT DREAM - is a fixed NCT unit. Initially debuted focusing on having lighter, more youthful concept. They literally started as teens, and over time their image, concepts and songs evolved to fit their age. This unit has 7 members. Originally, SM implemented a graduation system wherein once a member reaches 20 y/o, he will be removed from the group. This happened to member Mark who graduated in 2018. Then in 2019, 4 more members were supposed to leave the group, only leaving 2 of the original unit members. However, in April 2020 the company officially abolished the graduation system, kept all members, and brought Mark back into the group.
WayV - This is the Chinese unit of NCT. Also a fixed unit, currently has 7 members. WayV does not carry the name of NCT due to political conflict between SoKor and China. Thus, WayV is also being promoted by a subsidiary company of SM, Label V. But it doesn’t make them less of a member of NCT. Remember Winwin? He is part of this unit as well that’s why he had to halt promoting with NCT127.
Two members added in 2020, Shotaro and Sungchan, do not have units yet as of this writing.
In 2018 and 2020, all members of NCT gathered for a project named NCT 2018: Empathy and NCT 2020: Resonance.
This is just a quick read through so you’ll have an idea how the whole NCT system works.

NCT is a group with different sub-units formed by SM Ent. and their concepts are very diverse.
This group has no fixed number of members (overall) because new members (and sub-units) will continuously be added every once in a while. New members usually make their debut in NCT U (a sub-unit) then after that, they will be transferred to a fixed unit (does not apply to every NCT member).
Sub-units:
NCT U (United) - first unit of NCT (2016); not a fixed unit; the lineup for this unit depends on whoever fits the concept and the song.
NCT 127 - second unit of NCT (2016); 127 signifies the coordinates of Seoul; their unit promotes both in South Korea and US
NCT Dream - third unit of NCT (2016); their unit consists of the young members of NCT which also relates to their music being youthful and full of hopes and dreams.
WayV - a Chinese unit (2019); this unit mostly promotes in China; some of the members here already debuted in NCT U way back before the unit was formed and some members debuted directly in this unit.
SM is also giving them like, a special project (idk what the right term is, sorry huhu):
NCT 2018 and NCT 2020, wherein all current NCT members are included and some new members are also being added. And by all members, it means all units are taking part. There are songs of NCT U (members are not fixed for each song), NCT 127, NCT Dream, and WayV.
Btw, the concept of NCT U is kinda confusing for new fans, but they also learn about it fast. It’s just different compared to what a usual kpop group is. But I think, it’s interesting. I mean, they can create songs that serves top tier vocals from the vocal line of each unit, they can also gather all the rappers and make a song that is like a rap battle (but still sound so good), or they can also make a combination of vocalists and rappers from different units. In short (and again), the lineup for NCT U depends on the concept and the song. :))
That’s just a general idea about NCT. I hope it helped you to get to know them.
Friendly tip: you can get to know them BY UNIT (one at a time) but it’s your choice if you want to get to know them all together already HAHHAHAHHAA all I can say is, NCT is interesting and it’s fun knowing them

1.NCT 127 - focus on korean music) 9-10 members)
2. NCT DREAM - the dreamies! they have 7 members and they are the youngest of all NCT
3. WAYV - Chinese unit with 7 members
4. NCT U - basically all members. anyone who fits the concept. it can go from 2 to all 23 members in 1 song

NCT is like 2 fixed groups (NCT 127 & NCT Dream) and one flexible group (NCT U). There's also WayV (for chinese). What I mean by flexible group is some members from NCT 127, Dreamies, and WayV can be put in that one group (will be different for each comebacks). Even though 127 and Dreamies are fixed groups, 2 Dreamies members (Mark-rapper, Haechan-vocalist) are actively participate in NCT 127 too (😂this can be a lot to take) which means two of them has two groups. By the way, all of them overall has 23 members (we can count them together, one by one. Don't worry🤗) This is all for now
P/s: I do love them from all aspects (vocals, rap, choreo, persona) just like how I love Exo. Renjun sounds angelic meanwhile Haechan's voice is unique that is too good to just ignore.
