I had a Leopold and a BSA that had issues and both manufacturers sent me brand new scopes. The Leopold was the same basic model which was a 4X fixed and the BSA was a 4X to 12X and originally that scope had some issues but they sent me a brand new one that had the upgraded design. Most scope companies will honour their warranty because they know the people in the shooting community talk to each other and getting a bad reputation hurts sales. I had no receipts for either scope.
That’s great when companies honour their warranties, I mean I would expect them to when you’re talking about high end optics. Good to know, maybe someday I can afford a Leopold 😅
I had 1980’s elite 3000 , it wasn’t a bad scope but I left it on a rifle in a safe for close to 20 years. When I went to use it again the objective bell was loose after contacting them I returned it and they sent me a brand new current scope it took 7 months but I got a new scope.
Bushnell customer service has become almost nonexistent. I called in 3 times and requested a call back from their automated system and never received a call back. I called in a 4th time and stayed on hold for over 2 hours, called in at exactly 9am when the cue opens for customer service. The customer rep said they changed the process, and I would receive an email from their automated system, and I need to send them pictures of the defect and serial number, no need to return defective scope they would just mail a new one. I waited 2 days and no email was received. Call back this morning and I just passed the 4-hour mark on hold to speak to someone. They have horrible music that repeats over and over that I am sure is played so you get frustrated and hang up. This was not the case last year when I had the same scope warrantied for another manufacturer defect (scope blurred and would not focus). The new scope front optic came lose while I was sighting in my rifle a Savage 110 Tactical .308, scope model AR741840E14.5X18X40 made in Korea.
@@randletaylor6227 well it’s been 5 months and still no return, so I guess I’ll have to agree their new system is garbage. What’s the point of a guarantee if it’s not honoured?
God bless Canada! ( Remembering my one month stay with a French Canadian Family in Montreal, wonderful people) Vortex did a free repair and shipping and all for me, too..After reading up on Bushnell scopes and this, your video, I think my next scope will be a mid to high priced Bushnell...Let's Go Trudeau...Back to Cuba with that jackass....
Vortex are fine scopes, never had one in stock when I was picking one up for a certain application. I don’t think they deserve the “hate” they get, I’ve got a trophy QA with illuminated reticle that helped me take a 10pt buck in low light with one cartridge. 🙂
Can I ask are you in the US? I will say I haven’t received the scope but the service so far has been outstanding. There must be another way to reach out to them, maybe contact a local dealer and have them reach out on your behalf. Good luck.
Good information. I did not know they gave you a lifetime warranty, and actually honored it.
Right on, they actually honour it. 😊

Gotta like that! Yeah I heard the process can be a bit slow, so far I’m at 6 weeks give or take.

Heck ya, never let me down…I mean I wish I could put a 5000$ scope on all my pew pews but when on a budget.
