Hi Gabriel, thanks for all of these great videos. May I suggest a follow-up video to the tuning series that demonstrates how your freshly tuned drums sound all together? I'd be really interested in learning what you listen for in how the drums work together as a set and what adjustments or trade-offs you make in tuning to get the 'perfect' balance. Thanks!

All of our drumming demos have freshly tuned drums, so any of those should be a good example! Especially the ones with Coated Ambassadors!

I can't wait to try out your method on my new G-Renown Bop kit soon. I've been a DrumDial user and was never happy across the board with relying strictly on tension. Thanks!

yo, your tuning works REALLY well on Yamaha maple customs. I just tried it after hours in the studio, and it sounds VERY dope.

Thanks for the series on Bob Tunney. Do you have a video on how to address sympathetic noise coming from the wires of the snare since often the rack tom and snare drum are tuned relatively close?

Unfortunately, we do not. We just mess with it until it becomes bearable. Mostly adjust the rack tom.

Was coming here to post the same question. Love these tuning videos but found my snare's buzzing like crazy every time I hit the rack. I'll keep tinkering :)

@@egeywedgie3 ML: here are some things I've tried with decent results: Evans coated Genera Dry single ply heads as resos; 16 strand Puresound wires; low tensioned reso for snare, rack & floor tom; also if you believe the rack is the culpret, loosen it's reso tension rods closet to the snare; is you think it's floor tom, loosen the floor's reso tension rods closest to the snare; lastly, pray to the Drum God's, haha

@@trae1965 at that point are you kind of just neglecting the tuning? Just cuz it's less noticable than snare noise?

You recommend 10 lug over 8 for jazz ?

In the future, consider not having background music on a tuning instructional video and also take some time to explain what you’re listening for when you tap around the head. Fast-forwarding through that crucial step is kinda frustrating for those of us hoping to learn.

Thanks for the feedback! We do plan on recording an updated video of this - will keep this in mind.

Hey, what's the interval difference between the batter and the reso? Great vid!

Usually a whole step, sometimes a minor third (between the overtones)

Would be great if you’d stop the music while your talking.
