'Lang Aaja', featuring the soulful Himanshu Joshi, from the legendary band 'Indian Ocean', is the 5th Live Single from 'Classical Re-Imagined', the 1st Anniversary Concert of the Anirudh Varma Collective.
The composition based on Raga Baageshri, depicts the angst of Mahiwal pining away and waiting for his lover Sohni, across the banks of River Chenab. Sohni dies trying to crossover the swollen river, while the fate of Mahiwal is not clear in the poetic narrative.

Esteemed Anirudh Sir ....
Honestly, I never cried but your creativity has powerful emotion, full of ecstasy and soulful masterpiece that I'm listening now to on repeat. It's an perfect blend of east and west music. Hundred's have rendered this folks song but I think only you did complete justice with the composition. Even, if Noor Jahan who rendered it first time at the age of 9 in 1936 would have been alive, she would surely praise you for unique music presentation. Moreover, managing such a large team of performers is not everyone's cup of tea. I'm not sure but read somewhere that lyrics have been written by sain ditta of west punjab.

probably means ‘cross over and come across chenab
