Hey there Neb! The pallet showed a shipping weight of 287lbs. We guesstimate it was around 230ish as installed. Really could benefit from 4 people installing it a the directions suggest! We did it with three, but it is big, heavy and awkward! 😬 Hope that answers your question! Blessings!
Hey there! Overland Vehicle Systems currently has them listed at $2499.99 for the caps that fit the Toyota Tacoma! The RSI Smart Cap for the Tacoma runs at around $4200 I believe. Very similar designs and quality. Hope that helps! Blessings!
Im picking my topper up tomorrow. Did those boxes fit in the back of your Tacoma? Im on a Jeep Gladiator. Just wondering if i need to get a trailer or not. Thanks.
@@dysfunctionalveteranforlife yes, it was on a pallet and all wrapped up and fit fine in the Tacoma. Make sure ya have something to tie it down with, a bit top heavy. Enjoy!😊
Curious - Just placed an order for the same cap for my new F150 Raptor, had traditional Leer cap in the past . . . how is the road noise/rattling? Love the sharp corners and security of the until! Thank you for your time.
@@toddgregory897 I personally hadn’t noticed any difference with or without the cap! Be sure and share when ya get yours about your experience with the cap on the f150! I am sure folks will be curious!
Had a slight issue at the point where the cap meets the truck on the drivers side. I didn’t put quite enough of the butyl tape they provide! Don’t be skimpy and you’ll be fine! Truck cap is awesome!
I ordered my top like this on 4/29 and it said it was in stock when I ordered it then and as of today 6/9 it still hasn’t shipped and in fact when u go to their page right now it says in stock but that’s a lie!!! I think this company is up to no good they charged me as soon as I placed the order and still haven’t shipped!!! Please is anyone else having issues with this company because I’m not understanding what is going on with them I feel like they are scamming me. Please there has to be real people like me who haven’t gotten their product either. Please comment
I waited longer than they originally said I would have to as well. I believe these are manufactured for OVS in China and mine and evidently yours as well is on that “slow” boat! 😜😂😜😂
Shipping weight was just under 250lbs. I am speculating around 215-230 lbs assembled. Obviously I didn't really have a way to actually weight it, but I think that is a pretty good guesstimate! Blessings!
Hope to see a follow up video! I just order my on Sunday but have to wait until late May.
Yep! I will have one!
@@TheRunawayGang how are those latches still holding up? What did you do to fix them besides “glue”
Nice looking and very functional!
Yeah, we love the way it looks on the Tacoma and so far seems wonderfully functional!
How much does it weigh? Great video!

Great question- this is kind of import info that OVS really doesn't provide as far as I can tell/find.
That’s a deal breaker if actual 230lbs.
Price?

How much does it weigh? And how much did it lower the rear end by? Did you have to upgrade your suspension
Can you open the cap from the inside? If you were to sleep in there?
@@dillonpritchett9594 Hey there! Doesn’t look to me like there is a way to get out from the inside.

does the window facing the cab have a slide to open it?
Super glad ya dropped by! No it does not open. Which is fine for me, but maybe not everyone.
How is the water sealing? Any issues so far?

I am in the south. Any idea what this feels like inside in the heat considering it's all metal with no AC lol
We live in NC and I would say pretty warm in the heat of the day!
