This is the best idea you've ever had. Finally, something to look forward to on Sunday. Ya know, there's a bajillion of these types of experiments, if you're open to suggestions. Also, maybe throw some magic in there. I've always felt that magic tricks and science are very closely related. Well, maybe like third cousins through marriage, or something. What the hell I have the exact same book but in our native language somewhere in the attic. Jesus christ I never EVER would have thought that I'd see it on the internet, let alone youtube, in english.
I have lots of nice childhood memories with it. Brilliant experiment book showing how physics works for curious minds in many ways of varying complexity. All the way from simple balloons sticking to stuff by static electricity, to even small homemade contraptions that produce noise or mini cork submarines in a bottle lmao. Didn't have much in the way of nowadays entertainment back then, so this was very fun pastime.

Love those kinds of books! I remember having a magic one that had some similar science experiments
the fifth grade did science show thing for the younger grades and they had a hot plate with a rectangular pan thing and played hockey with those h2fo water droplets. we actually visited the classroom and there were different stations with experiments. they used straws to blow them around.

Epic L.A. Beast! @4:50 what you discovered is an example of something called the Leidenfrost effect, which only occurs if you bring fluids in contact with very hot surfaces. Basically, the water droplets behave like mini hovercrafts, due to the fact that once a droplet makes contact with the pan, an insolating layer of water vapor starts surrounding the droplet. Therefore, the droplet is protected a little while from evaporating and bounces around due to the layer of vapor between the droplet and the pan. I actually did a pHD in theoretical physcial chemistry, glad to help out if you ever need some explaining! Love these videos! :)
