Thanks for the tip about not putting the deep conditioner on the scalp. I didn't know I should avoid it even though I didn't purposefully put it on my scalp, but I wasn't trying to avoid it So I probably did put some on my scalp From time to time.

Long process
It definitely is! It’s a lot shorter when I don’t use as much gel
So you're washing and conditioning each section like six times?
I don't listen to "Team natural" anymore, especially when they say to wash your hair in cold water. Nice hair as usual!
I have a total of 6 sections . Each section is done one at a time. I shampoo each section twice and condition each section once.

It takes longer but washing in sections ensures the entire head is clean
