Oh fuck, you just brought back a memory I forgot I had. It's weird how you can not remember something, but once you see it, you remember EVERYTHING about it. I can hear Lloyd's voice in my head right now, yet I didn't even remember he existed for like 20 years until this very moment again.
I always had a very clear memory of the episode where Lloyd befriends a new kid, who turns out to be an insectoid with a really short life cycle (so he's only in school for a few days) and when Lloyd finally goes to see him to apologise for falling out, he's already an adult. It's got the perfect balance of humour and emotion.
That theme song was kickass to me as a kid Lloyd in Space was Recess’s underappreciated and often overlooked sister show. I miss it and I hope it comes to Disney+ someday.
Loved the theme! This was one of the first shows I noticed that Disney+ didn’t have. I am glad that there are others out there that remember this show.
I still live by a lesson i learned from Lloyd. More specifically the human police officer when he was teaching Lloyd how to drive. "Act like you're in control and you'll be in control". That little nugget really helped in a lot of situations where everyone around me was panicking but i could take control because i could at least feign confidence
Another great video! I never noticed the recurring theme of single parent homes in Disney's TV shows! It's also amazing how you pointed out the uniqueness of Lloyd being a Space slice of life series and how it played with themes that couldn't have been done else where. If you want to mess with a Lloyd in Space fan, ask them what Eddie's ethnicity lol it's incredibly ambiguous on purpose. Keep up the great work dude! And thanks for the shout out!!!
lmao thanks so much man! Thank you for the shout out as well! lmao I'll leave that question for the super fans for sure haha Thanks for watching my friend!
I remember this show being solid. It did always have a recess vibe to me, so seeing that it was made by the same people makes sense. The Halloween episode was awesome.
We never had toon Disney/Disney channel till we were ten so the only thing I remember about Lloyd in Space was watching it on Diggit/Diggin'it; a Saturday morning program block which showed a lot of Disney and Nickelodeon including Lloyd in Space
Jordan! Thank you so much for doing this Lloyd in space in space video! I never forgeot this cartoon. I especially remember when Brittany became obsessed with Llyod and was signing to him lol
Oh damn, I remember this from way back when I was a little kid. It kind of lingered in the back of my mind, but when I saw the thumbnail it hit me like a ton of bricks.
i remember this! on a local tv channel where i live, they used to air something called Disney Fun (Disney Sjov) every Friday night when i was a kid. it was 30 minutes of a mix between new and older Disney cartoons, and this would be on there frequently! house of mouse was also on there a lot, but i dun see anyone talking about that show anymore
Thank you for uploading a video about this TV show. Not only did I enjoy it, I still remember lines to this day. I had so much fun watching Lloyd. I remember the robot telling Lloyd that “real men fish”
Lloyd in space is a guilty pleasure of mine. I love anyone who covers it bc I wish more people knew about this show. Like Pepper Ann, its very under-rated and very forgotten. So thank you. :)
I literally saw the name in the title and it triggered the memories for me. Man, I can practically smell that soft insulated lunchbox with glitter on the outside I'd take to lunch with me as a kid. I miss these old cartoons sometimes.
No joke anytime I talked about this show, people thought I was making it up. Head is where the heart is, that's a line that stuck with me even till this day.
I remembered this show so often at random times just because of Lloyd's character design, and nothing else. No one else around me ever did though, so I had given up and told myself it was just some show I dreamed up one day. This video makes me feel SOOOOO validated. IT WAS REAL!
One of my if not my, favorite shows back in the day. The one episode I vividly remember is the one where a new student arrives at school, a purple one. The whole gang try to figure out what gender they were and find out they're neither. They get to choose when they get older, I guess we'd call it a sorta gender-fluid. Definitely a show ahead of it's time.
I loved Lloyd in Space, and my main memory I have from it is this episode where the boys and the girls are desperately trying to figure out if this androgynous alien is a boy or a girl, and they look at the stickers on their binder but they’ve got “boy stuff” and “girl stuff” and then they try to see which bathroom they’ll use and it eventually comes out that their species chooses their gender around puberty or something like that. They kinda realise they were being pushy and apologise and ask about their choice and they respond with “you’ll just have to wait and find out when I get a crush on someone” which I just thought was hilarious
I like the take on Sci-Fi that besides the technology not much changes. Kids still go to school, people still have regular jobs (or a slightly more Sci Fi take on them) etc. No big space council or anything overly fancy. It gives it a more familiar feeling compared to other Sci-Fi while still having a Sci-Fi charm.
I was a huge Lloyd fan. I remember talking about it with my friends. One of their older sisters had a crush on the hippie mechanic in the show. I will never get that theme song out of my head. There’s a single episode I remember the most because I never finished it. I always had a projected theory about how it ended but I never got to find out. If it comes to Disney+ I’m going straight to that episode to finally see if I was right all those years ago.
Man, I remember Lloyd in Space clearly. I have 38 of the episodes that we still watch pretty regularly. It always aired alongside Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, I recently came across your video on Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, then just found this on Lloyd in Space. Great series, I miss these kinds of shows. I always hoped for a toy line for Lloyd in Space, but we never got one. I Liked the Weekenders too... I think, I can't remember much of it. But what happened to the fun cartoons about kids just hanging out? Instead of the stuff these days lol.
Also on the "Disney characters mostly having one parent thing". I only knew one kids whose parents were divorced. Heck most people I've met in real life doesn't have divorced parents. So i always thought it was weird how many disney characters or characters in general had only one parent. When that was pretty rare for me to see irl
I watched your channel for the first time because seeing this slammed this back into my mind... I did love the show but didn't realize it was from the same mind as Recess, which is a show I watched as it came out and then in reruns, and then again as i became nostalgic for cartoons on youtube, along with other faves such as GoofTroop, TMNT, Gargoyles, and Bonkers, etc... however Lloyd in space came out as I went off to college (2002-2006), got to have access to cable and the world on my own and cartoons like South Park , Family Guy and Futurama, Robot Chicken were suddenly the most important to watch... as soon as I post this I'm going looking for Lloyd in Space and hopefully I can catch up on a forgotten gem
I’ve always remembered this show because it was my favorite and Recess was my absolute favorite show growing up! Glad to see it being mentioned again 😊
Great video Jordan. You once again brought back some forgotten memories. I remember connecting with this show, as it was on the air around the time I was 13. I wish Disney would bring shows like this to Disney+.
Oh yes I remember it I watched the reruns as a child. Somehow, you brought me back to memory lain out of no where. How strange It's like my childhood was a previous life, the misfortunes and changes of life truly makes you forget those good childhood memories. Thank you for this intense nostalgic trip!
I actually always remembered this show and I remembered enjoying it. it only slips my mind sometimes bc others don’t remember or talk about it much. Certain episodes actually pop in my mind from time to time randomly. Of all the shows I used to watch a lot but I can’t recall anything about I’m surprised this doesn’t pop up more because I find it different enough to have some kinda memory of it to stand out in time.
STOP! I was just asking my fiancé the other day if she ever caught this show. We both agreed it was fun, but just got shafted on time slots. Wasn’t this one that came on at 3:30 in the morning next recess, The little mermaid, and Winnie the Pooh.
I was actually just talking about Lloyd in Space with my sister the other day! The convo started with my mentioning that although I like the Movie Onward quite a lot for being a good story, I rolled my eyes a bit at the inital trailerss for it because I'm not a giant fan of "Everything is like real life but there's fantasy races." It's not that I HATE that but I find more often that it's a genre used by world builders who just want to do some world building but don't actually bother doing much in the line of writing a story to fit within that world. I'm sure there's plenty of good examples but I find it myself encountering this genre mostly through amateur writers/ people just world building for funsies rather than writing stories. ON THE FLIP SIDE despite preferring fantasy as a genre you can literally hand me any story that is just "This takes place a diner and everything is just like real life... but IIIIIIN SPAAAAACE!!!" and I will eat that up, thus getting onto the topic of Lloyd in Space. I actually found the show to be unique growing up in that literally that's what it was, a normal school set story... but in space. and I loved it
I have fond memories of watching this show when it was on Saturday mornings, but I had the opposite experience you did with Recess. I was way more into real life programming, but my best friend loved Lloyd for the reason you did, so you’re not alone!
I loved this show for one particular reason~ when my parents pushed my bedtime to 9 o'clock as a child I got a small TV in my parents bedroom, they'd watch reality shows downstairs while I would sit on their bed and watch reruns that aired in "late for kids" hours... so Lloyd in space and Filmore live rent free in my brain. Speaking of... Filmore video. At your own pace~ please and thankyou.
I liked this show because of how much I liked Recess. It was a decent go to back in the day. I remember a few episode plots thanks to seeing all these clips so that was fun. I'm gonna submit this and Filmore as suggestions for Disney + right now!
This is the first series you've made a video that I genuinely don't remember. Everything else there was always something that stuck to my mind that I remembered for years but this? No, can't recall a single thing about it.
What a trip! This was actually one of my favorite shows as a kid! One episode was burned into my brain, I believe a new kid moved into the station. Whenever he ate he puked up acid onto the food and then slurped it up. It grossed the hell out of me. Anyway, great video as always!
Born in 94. Watched it when it first aired. I can only remember one episode completely and the theme song of Lloyd in Space. It was the caterpillar episode. It introduced me to how short life was, sent me into a panic attack for some reason, and made me extremely sad when I was a wee lad. I couldn't sleep good for two weeks. That is why I remember that episode from start to finish. But I kept watching the show until it ended
This show was like Recess and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command combined into one. My favorite episodes were the Camping and Sirenia (Girl from Center of the Universe) episode.
Omg I loved this show! Mom would pick me up from school and stop by a small cafe to get cinnamon rolls and coffee/hot chocolate and this show would be on when we got home. I really missed this thanks for bringing back these memories
that Toon Disney bumper rlly hit me in the feels!! i always rlly gravitated more toward Toon Disney and Nicktoons as a kid. I’d love to see u do a House of Mouse video some time if it interests you!!
I used to watch this show a long time ago, I cant remember what channel it was on but it was definitely one if the back channels that youd have to search for rather than just disney, lloyd in space pops into my head every couple years and while I barely remember anything I always remember that I really enjoyed it. So many of the shows I used to watch never made it to disney+ unfortunately
This review did this underrated gem justice! Catching it regularly during weekday afternoons 15 years ago, I've always found "Lloyd in Space" to be a more intriguing watch than "Recess", which was still a solid show in its own right. It was probably due to the writers' creative methods of translating early adolescent life into alien form, as well as all the diverse character designs presented. As described by co-creator Paul Germain, junior high life is basically "alienation", so what better way to represent that idea than with literal aliens? It's really a shame that "Lloyd" is this obscure, even more so than "Teacher's Pet", which was at least a common Emmy winner with a movie attached to it. At best, people only remember "Lloyd" for the non-binary alien episode, which was no doubt the show's definitive "ahead of its time" moment looking back at it. I agree that it must be on Disney+ ASAP!
Lloyd in space: when Gus was an alien, his mom was peg from GoofTroop and his best friend was Patrick Star! Fun little series I've watched after House of Mouse!
Oh I remember Lloyd in space but not too many people cover it. Late 90s and early 2000s animated kids and adult shows were ahead of their time with the lessons they taught.
I remember very little about this show, but the halloween episode is ingrained in my mind. Each time an episode aired I would always look for the red text replacing the usual green, just to experience that trip one last time.
Your channel has gone along way from covering the purple dragon to doing reviews of some of my favorite shows that I watched as a kid. These are classics. Some of these should really be on Disney+
FINALLY, I FOUND WHAT THIS WAS AGAIN! You have no clue how long I was trying to find out what this was called i remember watching this a long time ago and loved it but i could not figure out the name of this. Thank you so much man
the character designs definitely stuck with me after all these years. i didn't remember any of their names but I sure as hell remembered what they all looked like
My fave episode of this show was when he went on the camping trip with his friends and their dads. I thought it was so sweet when his Grandpa (his mom's dad) stepped in to take that spot on the trip, since Lloyd's dad was out of the picture.
Thanks so much for watching! Do you remember Lloyd In Space? Let me know some of your most memorable moments with the show if you do!
I remember an episode where they are trapped on a bus (I think?) and someone eats a cool girl alien’s lipgloss.
Yes! This show lives rent free in my mind & I was hurt when I saw it wasn’t coming to Disney+
I honestly remember the garbage/janitor/maintenance alien! I believe he had a surfer dude accent? Lol
Stoner Alien Janitor
God the second i saw the thumbnail i got slapped with vauge memories of this show. All i can remember is the interglatic food fight
Oh fuck, you just brought back a memory I forgot I had. It's weird how you can not remember something, but once you see it, you remember EVERYTHING about it. I can hear Lloyd's voice in my head right now, yet I didn't even remember he existed for like 20 years until this very moment again.
Same. Just seeing the thumbnail brought a flood of memories back and I knew I had to watch this.
Same brother!
I completely forgot about this cartoon as soon as I saw the thumbnail everything came flooding back, memory is crazy..
Yeah the brain is weird. Fast too. It finds the memories in milliseconds
Right?!
Please do a “Fillmore” episode. I feel like people barely remember it, but it was it’s own unique kids show unlike anything made before it or after
The chicken was dry... real dry
Fillmore was the shit, I loved that show
I loved Fillmore
So much came flooding back when I read this post. Remember the gone in 60 seconds parody they did
Awesome show, please talk about it. It’s criminally underrated.
I don't think I'll ever forget the "Lloooooyd!" As he breaks a window and casually murders a whole bunch of people getting sucked out a broken window.
‘Oops’
Hahahahaha
Up until this point today, I thought this show was just a fever dream I had
😂 I use to watch it when nothing else good was on
I always had a very clear memory of the episode where Lloyd befriends a new kid, who turns out to be an insectoid with a really short life cycle (so he's only in school for a few days) and when Lloyd finally goes to see him to apologise for falling out, he's already an adult. It's got the perfect balance of humour and emotion.
That theme song was kickass to me as a kid
Lloyd in Space was Recess’s underappreciated and often overlooked sister show. I miss it and I hope it comes to Disney+ someday.
Loved the theme! This was one of the first shows I noticed that Disney+ didn’t have. I am glad that there are others out there that remember this show.
same
@@MikeSparksMusic yeah i use to always hum the theme song
Omg! Same! I still remember that robotic voice always saying "Lloyd In Space" at the end of the themesong to this day.
Why doesn’t Disney+ have most of its 90s era cartoons?
I still live by a lesson i learned from Lloyd. More specifically the human police officer when he was teaching Lloyd how to drive. "Act like you're in control and you'll be in control". That little nugget really helped in a lot of situations where everyone around me was panicking but i could take control because i could at least feign confidence
I just turned 30 and I think about this series more than I should. Honestly it was so slept on and deserves a revival
GOD you just unlocked a memory I long forgot about. Filmore next maybe?
That show was good.
What's his ethnicity?
I loved this show. Hope it comes to Disney+

Thanks so much for the support! 😄

Lloyd in space is a guilty pleasure of mine.
I love anyone who covers it bc I wish more people knew about this show.
Like Pepper Ann, its very under-rated and very forgotten.
So thank you. :)
I loved Pepper Ann. Theme song is UNFORGETTABLE
DUDE I've been looking for the name of this series for yeaaars! Thank you for covering this
I remember this show I loved it. Was just as I was getting into middle school when it came out. Douglas was my favorite
love the transitions of the "We'll be right back" you've been using. It is really fun!
It's so strange how even if I remember next to nothing about one of these shows, I can practically hear every single voice *perfectly* .
I used to watch this show ALL the time lol and the intro was a banger!
Thanks for putting this together, I'm definitely one of those people who LOVED Lloyd in Space! This means the world to me mate!
This was such a wholesome show! I remember coming home from school and the lineup would be Lloyd, Recess, and House of Mouse. *chef’s kiss*
You’ve done it again, Mr. Fringe! I totally forgot about this show, but I was an avid watcher growing up.
Yeah that was the first thing I remember from this show
I like the take on Sci-Fi that besides the technology not much changes.
Kids still go to school, people still have regular jobs (or a slightly more Sci Fi take on them) etc.
No big space council or anything overly fancy.
It gives it a more familiar feeling compared to other Sci-Fi while still having a Sci-Fi charm.
This and the Weekenders were some of my favorite shows growing up.
Yes! I’ve been waiting for this
I still watch this show every now and then on RUclips. So much fun.
Man, I loved this show when I was young. Thanks for reminding me about this show again.
I used to love this damn show. I watched it again a few years ago and it still held up. I can always count on you to have covered my childhood shows.
I Liked the Weekenders too... I think, I can't remember much of it. But what happened to the fun cartoons about kids just hanging out? Instead of the stuff these days lol.
I'm going to need an 'The Weekenders' episode from you.
Lloyd in space was EPIC 🔥

Thanks for pulling this out of the deepest crevices of my brain
I’ve been in the cut wondering when you’d do this one lol thank you 🙏🏾
I’m glad you did a video on this! I’ve always mentioned this show to people but they never seem to know what I’m talking about!
Your videos lately are bringing back memories I keep forgetting I had.
Never heard of this show before this week and I’ve now watched two separate breakdowns of it
I’ve always remembered this show because it was my favorite and Recess was my absolute favorite show growing up! Glad to see it being mentioned again 😊
Great video Jordan. You once again brought back some forgotten memories. I remember connecting with this show, as it was on the air around the time I was 13. I wish Disney would bring shows like this to Disney+.

Everyday at 3pm and 3:30 good lord i miss being a kid
I actually always remembered this show and I remembered enjoying it. it only slips my mind sometimes bc others don’t remember or talk about it much. Of all the shows I used to watch a lot but I can’t recall anything about I’m surprised this doesn’t pop up more because I find it different enough to have some kinda memory of it to stand out in time.
Loved This show as a kid. Used to watch it all the time. Great video Jordan.
To this day the quote “let’s make him geography” -“that’s history Kurt” still randomly pops in my head at least once a week
Megavolt: You're Chemistry!...
Wait, no, you're math.. Uh, Phys Ed?... No, History, that's it!
Omg I completely forgot about this yet loved it!!
So good to see Lloyd In Space getting some much deserved recognition! It's a total underrated gem, along with Legend Of The Dragon.
Your are right as usual, I barely remember this show existed. Another great video thanks!
STOP! I was just asking my fiancé the other day if she ever caught this show. We both agreed it was fun, but just got shafted on time slots. Wasn’t this one that came on at 3:30 in the morning next recess, The little mermaid, and Winnie the Pooh.
Holy shit. I love this channel because you keep unlocking deep recesses in my brain that have been untouched in almost a decade lol
I was actually just talking about Lloyd in Space with my sister the other day!

That episode where the alien gets to choose it's gender on it's 13th birthday stayed with me forever
I have fond memories of watching this show when it was on Saturday mornings, but I had the opposite experience you did with Recess. I was way more into real life programming, but my best friend loved Lloyd for the reason you did, so you’re not alone!
Thank you for covering this, it made today better :D
Thanks for watching!

I remember and think about this show CONSTANTLY. I remember watching it when i came home from school while I did my homework. This was so underrate d
I liked this show because of how much I liked Recess. It was a decent go to back in the day. I remember a few episode plots thanks to seeing all these clips so that was fun. I'm gonna submit this and Filmore as suggestions for Disney + right now!
My (6) yrs old self just screamed, "OMG, I LOVED THIS SHOW!!!". Thank you for the nostalgia shock 🥰👏🏾👽🚀🛸
This is the first series you've made a video that I genuinely don't remember.
Everything else there was always something that stuck to my mind that I remembered for years but this? No, can't recall a single thing about it.

Thank you! I have been thinking about this show for years and couldnt quite remember it.
This show was super heat.. used to always stay up late to and catch it
I remember watching this on Saturday mornings and on Toon Disney with the Weekenders!
Omg I loved this show! Mom would pick me up from school and stop by a small cafe to get cinnamon rolls and coffee/hot chocolate and this show would be on when we got home. I really missed this thanks for bringing back these memories
😲🤯 I remember this show, I genuinely liked it. Thank you for taking me back in time😁❤️
I MISS THIS SHOW SO MUCH. I think about it every few weeks, at least.
As a child obsessed with space and aliens, I never forgot. It was my favorite show growing up.
that Toon Disney bumper rlly hit me in the feels!! i always rlly gravitated more toward Toon Disney and Nicktoons as a kid. I’d love to see u do a House of Mouse video some time if it interests you!!

His other 2 friends were Harold Berman and Milhouse van Houten!
@@mitchfletcher2386 too AWESOME
Lol
God, I watched this religiously when I was a kid. Brilliant show.
Every time I tried to make a point I just ended up agreeing with what you were saying. Input is spot on!!! 👍👑
I loved this show but never would have remembered it without this video
Your channel has gone along way from covering the purple dragon to doing reviews of some of my favorite shows that I watched as a kid. These are classics. Some of these should really be on Disney+
Thanks for sticking around!
My jaw literally dropped when I saw this In my feed. I loved that show as a middle schooler
FINALLY, I FOUND WHAT THIS WAS AGAIN! You have no clue how long I was trying to find out what this was called i remember watching this a long time ago and loved it but i could not figure out the name of this.
Thank you so much man
I watched this in a hotel in Greece. You have unlocked a hidden memory my friend.
Loved this show! As soon as I saw the title I clicked! Really hoping they bring this to Disney +
I can officially count on your channel to dig up memories that I had completely forgotten that I had
the character designs definitely stuck with me after all these years. i didn't remember any of their names but I sure as hell remembered what they all looked like
My fave episode of this show was when he went on the camping trip with his friends and their dads. I thought it was so sweet when his Grandpa (his mom's dad) stepped in to take that spot on the trip, since Lloyd's dad was out of the picture.
