For me that's the ideal stitch for a simple shawl - easy to do but no too easy and I think it'll make a tight enough fabric for a warm shawl. Thank you for the tutorial 🥰
This is great! I loved seeing all the variations and examples you showed and especially that you included flat and in the round versions in the same video.
The V stitch looks so versatile, dress it up or dress it down. Any way it will look great. A good stitch for a scrapy look to use up all those colours. This stitch would look very nice for my charity blankets. I enjoyed this video Tuula. Thank you.
This is a great version of the v-stitch! I've never done it this way but I can see how great it is for all sorts of projects. 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
Thank you, Miss Tuula, for sharing this lovely stitch. When you said your favorite stitch was the V stitch, I pictured the one where the V is always facing up. I will try this one one the next baby blanket I make. Thank you for such clear instructions. I'm blind and really appreciate your verbal explanations. appreciate
Wonderful! Yes, there is probably the more common way to make the V-stitch, I actually don't like the look of it much 😊 This is ideal for baby blankets, I have made several over the years! It is great you can crochet without seeing what you are making! I can knit without looking at my work but not crochet.
I can't wait to try this. I do my V-stitch differently. I think I like this better. You have two lovely daughters. I have two daughters as well. Mine are 28 and 26.
I'll have to give this stitch a go. I'm knitting scarves for charity at the moment and I think it will make a lovely one (or two or three, lol). My go-to stitch is the lemon peel stitch, closely followed by the thicket stitch (which is very similar to the lemon peel). It works up quickly and isn't a yarn eater. I use it flat and in the round.
I so enjoy your videos! You’re an excellent instructor; your camera angles really show the stitches well and your voice is calming. I love the V-stitch, and I like the idea of the variation with the bigger holes. + your daughter is beautiful. 😊 (so are you, btw) Greetings from western Washington, USA.
Beautiful tops Tuula! V stitch is one of my favorites too. I like to do all kinds of stitches, but I think of the V stitch as a 'comfort' stitch because it's one that you can do when you don't want to have to pay attention. 😁
@@TuulaMaaria Hahaha I think I jinxed myself. After saying how it was a stitch that you don't have to pay attention to, I was whipping up a scarf while watching tv, and I totally messed it up and had to rip back about 4 inches. 🤪
Hey Tuula, I hope all is well with you and yours. I too love the "V" stich, Sofia, treble (the wrap 2x way) lately, I have been doing a lot of combining for a tapestry kinda feel. Your posts and tips keep me motivated and striving for a professional finish on all of my projects. Thank you!💞
Miss Tuula I love that stitch!!! Can't wait to start a project using it. Could you start doing some videos for winter or Chtistmas gifts? Blessings and much love
Great, hope you start somenting with this stitch! I'm working on a new snowflake pattern, it's more Christmas decorations that I will be doing, and there are lots from previous years.
I'd like to try the first version of yours. Currently, my favourite stitch is the wattle stitch because it makes a very comfortable fabric. Not to get bored I mix it with front/back double crochets, sometimes in the form of braids. For summer cardigans I like to use this one: two double crochets in the chain space + chain.
This is really helpful! I've tried v-stitch before, but it was the 'right way up', and I wanted to see if it would look nice in alternative rows of upside-down V and right side up V, but I couldn't figure it out 😢 Thank you once again 😊
thank you for sharing. Can I ask for more details on how you do it in the round? You mentioned multiples of 4, any extra chains after the multiple? Also what is the ideal number of rows when changing colors?
This stitch really looks best in colours if you change colour on every row or round. But I also use this in one colour only, work in many ways. As for working in the round, check out this video wehre I show how to join in the round , this link goes directly to that spot ruclips.net/video/AhQs-clluWo/видео.htmlsi=1eUi34U5jVBTwFk3&t=377 It's worth watching a bit further from that spot too because it shows how to join in the next rounds.

This stitch provides just enough mental interest to keep you from getting bored...
yet it's simple to do. You're 'da BEST! 🏆
Thank you, glad you like it!
Ooooh, I like how this stitch looks. It's a cross between solid and lacy and has a super interesting pattern. Thank you, Tuula.

Yes, there is a different way to do V-stitch but I'm not too keen on how it looks. My daughters a bit older than yours then 😊
What a beautiful stitch! I will have to try this. I love Star Stitch.
Great! I love the start stitch too, even though it is a yarn eater!
Thank you , for a lovely clear tutorial, I too love this stitch. Kind regards from London
