Brian was a huge inspiration in my getting sober. His story with drinking was quite similar to mine. It’s exhausting & dark being a functioning alcoholic. I always come back to his interviews when I’m feeling down and doubtful. Such a well-spoken dude for real.
I loved his part in yeah right, part of my daily hype up routine. I knew exactly how long to forward the VHS tape to get to the beginning of his part. One of the great song choices in skate videos too.
@@justinpoeta8656 honestly I looked up to Brian Anderson, not taking anything away from his skateboarding or personality. He seems like a cool guy but cmon how you gonna be a sodomite.
Brian is a GOAT and so humble. He knows his place in the industry and you can tell he just loves being involved in the skate community. Much love Brian grew up to your video parts/growth
Brian helping with the drainage situation at the L.E.S. Skatepark is much appreciated. Thank you. Someone told me the park across the river in Downtown, Brooklyn has some sort of system in place under it to keep the pipes from getting clogged. Had to mention that. Been watching everything just not commenting but great stuff as always.
Got to take Brian to my local DIY that I helped build with Freddy while he was filming for his latest Thrasher part. Went out street skating after. Such a epic day. He signed my old toy machine board of his. We sat and talked on a bench for almost an hour talking about video parts and shoes... he gave me the pro tip about cutting the toe stitches out of Nike blazers to open the toe box more. Such a great human
My admiration and respect for Brian grows every time I hear him talk about his experiences in the skate realm and in the everyday life spectrum of it all. I've spent my life appreciating the likes of Matt Hensley, Sean Sheffey, Mike Carroll, Jovontae Turner, and Kareem Campbell but, I love Brian Anderson so much simply because he is the realist of the real and he has always come across as himself even when he felt like couldn't truly be himself. The amount of respect I have for him is immense. He truly is a treasure in the culture and deserves to be treated as such. Icon is not a big enough word. Love you Brian.
As someone who struggles with drinking and really just want to be done with it, its motivating hearing someone who I viewed as a childhood hero struggle with it and had the discipline and courage to kick it. I'm getting there. It's less and less but I'm ready to just say no to it all together.
You won’t ever regret stopping, seriously. Recovery is WAY easier than staying an alcoholic. Brian was a huge influence in my sobriety and still is! Simply deciding to reach out for a helping hand changed my life monumentally. You won’t be stuck in the struggle forever, internet stranger! You got this!
I randomly met Steezus at a work-related event in Miami in 2020. I honestly could not believe that it was him so I was compelled to verify. I still feel like a dork for approaching him but he couldn't have more kind. Still appreciative of that moment 🙏
B.A. brotha if you happen to read this _ wanted to let you know that when you are talking about your recent or past experiences or your relationship with Nike, AH or whatever the subject may be. I promise you it never comes off in any way you are pumping up any kind of products or yourself. I think I can speak for everyone who has been behind everything you do when it comes to skateboarding - we want to hear everything that's going on with your skate career and whatever is going on in your life at the present and plans for the future... So many folks out here love your skating and plez never hesitate to talk about anything and everything that is going good in your life ...
I was riding my bmx home from work in jersey, and I ran into Brian Anderson, Fred Gall, and a few other dudes skating on their lunch break at the factory he was talking about. Brian Anderson was cool as shit and freddy gall is always a trip. I pass by their spot everyday. They used to have a quarter pipe back there but now it's a little left hip and a parking block. Cool dudes. Super happy for them all.
Having grown up in the UK and not too far (hour or so) from Milton Keynes, I am cracking up hearing Chris say “I love Milton Keynes.“. I never thought I would ever hear anyone say that sentence! Great interview, I recently rode a Brian Anderson board.
Damn Brian met your cousin here in Denver at the methadone clinic...shit is real in da cities..stay up s.o.t.y... keep keeping it real..we keep it pushing..all day everyday...love and light brother!
Its so funny because I approached Brian the same way he did Bill Murray at Tampa Pro a a couple of years ago.It wound up going really well and we actually traded blue sharpies.Brian is the best!
There are about 3 peacocks living near my neighborhood. They just roam the streets. Nobody bothers them and don’t think much of it 😆 love that board graphic.
I remember when I was younger I found on eBay one of BA's pro models on eBay for around $40 back then a pro model was around $130 I know the reason and it shows how the times have changed I was stoked I got a board for that price back in those days. Girl yeah right days I would get completely hyped just from the intro barley able to sleep so keen to skate the next day Brian is an absolute dude
I used to see BA around SF bk in the early 2000s. One time at potrero I hooked him up with some bandages after seeing that he had an open wound on his hand.since then whenever I saw him again he'd always say wassup.
My best friend had the Fists board, back then. It was an 8.68” or 8.75”. I remember thinking he was insane lol and I remember wishing they made it, in a “normal” size ( for the time ), because I loved the graphic so much.

Roger is always there for stop n chat
He’s there for every episode. Just not on a camera view. But he chips in on the mic every episode.
Ur mom makes things interesting
@@rickpearson7943 😂😂😂
Yeah, I was kinda surprised he wasn't really there for the Margera family episode seeing as he's lived with them and all haha
One of the greatest skaters of all time. So many iconic parts.
BA an inspiration to us all and one of my heros from back in the day. Love you dude thank you for everything you've done!
I loved his part in yeah right, part of my daily hype up routine. I knew exactly how long to forward the VHS tape to get to the beginning of his part. One of the great song choices in skate videos too.
OBSTACLE I!
His part in Yeah Right is in my Holy Trinity of parts. It's that part the Heath Kirchart mindfield part and Dylan Gravis. Hands down top 3 of all time
I always enjoyed my time shooting with Brian back in the day. He's a good dude!
Did not expect this and was a great surprise this morning. Great skater, interesting human, big heart.
He seems so much more at peace, which is so good to see. One of my favourite skaters from back in the day and remain’s so to this day 👊
Man I miss Roger. He was the magic piece to the show
Quite possibly the most polite man I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching speak. Beautiful episode. Thank you Brian. Thank you all. ❤
Kind of sad he's gay
@@joshuasmith6346 this thought process is kinda sad.

We love you Brian, it's always good to see you
Such a good dude. So glad we have people like BA in the skate community to help shine more light for others.
Brian has a good voice for like a skate documentary narrator
Good call, your totally right
Holy shit I’ve never thought of that before but you’re completely right. He really does. 😅
It's so fucking soothing.
BA is the goat. For life - forever and always - till the wheels fall off. 🐐
