I understand how all that works but it doesn't appear to be what's happening here. Look at 2:51 for example. He changes notes four times on the same part of the record without touching the pitch control or cuing another sample on the mixer. Also, at 3:54 - 4:02 he changes from one sample to another on the same part of the record without cue points. The blue knob he touches for a brief moment is the FX dry/wet control. So something else is going on. I assume the turntable pitch is being controlled via MIDI. I just don't know what kind of controller is sending the signals or where the controller is.
A real Dj and Turntablist. This is a perfect example of how the turnable is used as an instrument. I fuckin love it well done

It could be customized "record" via reason, etc. or a sample done w Maschine then octave or Traktor Kontrol that's done a lot for DMC & Thre3style

It's likely that he is using a foot pedal as he did so in his dmc online winning routine.
