Stop by your local gun shop to check out the new Springfield Armory Emissary 1911 pistol chambered in 45acp. The Springfield Emissary 1911 is one of the best feeling production level 1911's to hit the market in quite some time.
The Springfield Armory Emissary has the same great sight picture as the Springfield Hellcat.
If you want to be impressed by a quality 1911 that doesn't have an outrageous price tag, you're certainly going to want to get the Springfield Armory Emissary in you hands sooner rather than later.

I own nine 1911s and I have owned this Emissary for a few weeks now. 400 rds later and it is the best 1911 I own. My new EDC. Oh and six of my other 1911s are also Springfields. I have been carrying a 1911 since Vietnam, 20 yrs on a police force and 17 yrs of that time on SWAT. Save your money and buy this gun! You will be amazed by it. If it comes out in 9mm or 10mm I will have to have them. Three of my 1911s are Ronin in 9, 45 and 10.
Springfield Armory has a lot of years under their belt making 1911’s. They do a really good job of it. We appreciate the video view and the comment. We hope you are subscribed to our channel for future video feedback. Thank you.
Absolutely gorgeous gun! The coloring and checkering give it a high tech look, yet it has old school functionality!
Jim... stay away! I know you, you'll be leaving with this one! Fair Warning LOL.
@@CGA556 even though you're not talking to me I still feel like you're talking to me 😂
I hear ya my friend - I have the same problem- It’s hard to resist a nice 1911. 😀
@@CGA556 I own zero 1911s but I think this 1 may be my first
This will be a future classic. That's for sure.
Just brought one home today. Your comments on it are spot on. Put first 50 rounds through it, worked flawlessly.
Awesome! The Springfield Armory Emissary 1911 really is a nice gun. Glad you were able to get your hands on one. Your comment and video watch is very much appreciate. Hope you subscribe to our channel for more. Thanks again.
Hard to believe
Mind Jams every 2rounds .
@@charlesrusso7646 ditch the stock mags.
I picked up one in 9mm gov't length. It's a cap gun. It has almost 0 muzzel flip and the flow ups with it are quick.
The polymer trigger can be replaced easily with a flat aluminum model.
Yes sir. That was my first thoughts on it. Thanks for the comment and thank you for watching our video.
I found mine today and brought it home, it's a beast, it's going to take some breaking in before you shoot it, mine appear a little dry so oil the moving parts , slide ,slide release is very tight and I'm keeping an eye on it for problems, it's not releasing very well, I also put light oil on rails. This is a beautiful pistol so before handling give it a good wiping down or light brushing down (soft brush) there seems to be lose shavings on frame that will get in your hands so a good cleaning and lubricant is recommended, do not oil extractor as this could cause problems with shell ejection. Grips are aggressive but give the shooters a solid hold.
That is disappointing. The three Springfield Emissary 1911's we received were really in great condition ready to go when we got them. The advice you gave in your comment is good solid advice. Enjoy that new Emissary 1911!
P.S. To make a visit to your shop Lol 😂
I love my TRP Operator! I must have this in commander size if they release it. Beautiful gun
I sure hope they do release it in a commander size. That would be my choice as well. Thanks for watching our video and thanks for leaving a comment. Have a great day!
I just seen one today absolutely beautiful pistol I think this will be my first 1911 purchase
@@MOJOverseManny I think you’ll be very happy
i own the commander size 9mm emissary,
After many weeks and hours of videos deciding between the Springfield Emissary or the Kimber Rapide Black Ice for my future purchase, I settled on the Emissary. Kimber Rapide looks cooler, but it had many videos of failures, the finish flaking off and customer support issues. None of the Emissary videos showed failures, the finish held despite scratches and the accuracy competes against $3,000 1911s.
Was going through the springfield catalogue with my wife to pick out a gun for her and she latched onto this one. Probably gonna pick one up for the missus so we can have “his and hers” 1911s.
Can't wait to find one! This will be the next handgun in my collection.
We initially received 4 of them - gone in one day. I’ve asked my distributors for a pile of em!
@@CGA556 Yeah I called you guys this morning and I was a couple days late, but I located one this morning and brought it home. Good luck to all that are interested, they will be popular.
I have that same weapon but in 4.25” and I love it. Mine is 45acp and as soon as I got it I put a Wilson combat trigger in it and ambi safety. Made it much better. Love it.
Cool! I really like a 4.25” 1911
How did your trigger work impact the pull? I have the same version and mine breaks at almost 5lbs.

Thanks for the review. It definitely sold me on one!
If you’re doing a press check on a 1911, the trigger is going to be fully cocked because you most likely just chambered a round. In this condition the press check is doing to be much easier. Just my thoughts, great video though!
Sweet looking pistol
i bought the 9mm and love it
These guys look like pawns stars. $1300.00? Best I can do is $5.
I’m going to have to call in our history expert first. 😀
Question can you put a red dot sight on it or just a laser on bottom
It moved a little!!! Best part of the video! Just kidding, excellent review
The trigger is polymer????
Gorgeous gun tho
Yes and yes!😀
The trigger is wonderful. I’ve had trigger jobs done on 1911s that were not this nice.
Wasn’t looking at the screen and thought I was hearing Lt Jim Dangle trying to imitate Garand Thumb. Weird.
Not really a 1911 guy, but I kinda want to see that one in my hand.....
The Springfield Emissary really is a great feeling 1911. Stop by next chance you get. We look forward to seeing you.
Very Nice 👍
Rick, I know you’re a Ruger man but stop by and check this one out.
It looks like a futuristic 1911, but a polymer trigger on a $1300 gun? Yeah, don't like that. I like the aggressive checkering on it; reminds of the XD series somewhat, but I wonder how much better the steel feels than the polymer lower on the XD. I'm also not fond of how it breaks down. It comes with what looks like a tiny allen wrench you have to slip into a hole in the guide rod, which would make field stripping impractical; it's one of the reasons I don't carry my Springfield Champion Commander, which came with a little plastic half pipe that clamped on to the guide rod assembly in order to field strip. It's intriguing, but I'm still putting my money aside for a TRP Operator.
The TRP Operator is an excellent choice when it comes to 1911’s. We appreciate you watching our video and leaving a comment. Have a great day!
Weird it's almost like people have a point when they call the 1911 an obsolete design
Can you compare the 45ACP to the 9MM version and the pros and cons of them with this model.
You can say how much the gun costs
I'm gonna guess The Emissary will soon be in 9mm and 10mm as well. Feel out how people like it first, then produce different calibers based on customer demand.
Im 100% in on 9mm
I doubt 10mm
I love the gun so much I bought one….but I’m going to address the elephant in the room….when did Rick from Pawn Stars do gun reviews?….keep up the good work fellas.
You never know what’s going to come through that door.
@@CGA556 …haha
Subbed! Saw the fb post. Keep it up yall - jeff w
Awesome! Thank you!
@@CGA556 no worries yall are great and deserve all the success in the world!
Good video. I see some nice revolvers behind you in the video. Are they for sale
Wish it came with the magwell
It needs a fully ramped barrel for hollow points, get rid of that barrel linkage and the plastic trigger shoe !
Ambidextrous safety is useless. Just hurts the dominant hand for no reason.
They could provide a left-hand safety as an option.
Can the trigger be upgraded
you guys need to move your channel to rumble.
still need a paperclip to field strip?
Yes. That sucks, but the crowned barrel is cool.
I really hope they make it in 9mm
i own the 9mm version.
I went to get one and then decided to spend 300 more and got the TRP Operator…..
You will love it! It’s a fine weapon. I love mine
Nice! The TRP is an excellent choice!
Nice gun but that rear sight has to go.
Got no Mec Gar Magazines with it...got such shitty, whiggling 2-lipped magazines (like on their homepage)
...fully loaded it just jams JHP or FMJ´s ...i hope it gets better after some break in time (couldn´t shoot it yet)
But i have a CZ SP01 Shadow...ran perfect out of the box - no problems
I owned a BUL SAS II Air (2011) - perfect out of the box - no problems
=> So I´m a little bit disappointed in the moment
Could definitely use better mags.
STACCATO HAS A POLYMER TRIGGER AND COSTS ABOUT A GRAND MORE,....just saying
If I were to buy a “Springfield 1911” for the money aTrp
The Springfield Armory TRP 1911 is definitely a good choice in 1911's.
So you haven't even fired it....
5.5 lb trigger on a 1911...yuck
The( I believe Bill Wilson ) fitted bushingless barrel. Biggest detractor is SA. A plastic trigger? Wow. The grenade texture isn’t a first. 6.5 lb actual trigger. good reset. Oh boy sold on that SA sticker. Two mags, I guess is twice as generous as one. How about enough to fill a duty rig...three. It doesn’t matter, I would not buy a SA on the primary market because their CEO and Board are dicks. TBNT.
for the love of God get rid of the music guys, why why why do videos have to have extra NOISE!!!!!!!!!!!
Hum, looks like Springfield sorta copied the Night Hawk Delegate here. Even the name is similar. They just left out a few touches. LOL
KnifeMaker
Rich from Pawnstars?
Not yet LOL! Thanks for giving us a watch and comment.
That card board box is horrible.
I agree. They should give a hard case with them.
Who really writes these things
My Emissary 9m is terrible
Worst gun I ever owned
Constantly jams . Tied other mags other ammo nothing helps
Save your money
Really??? Want to buy the commander model either in 9mm or 45? Probably 9 since it’s cheaper.
Hey so I been on the fence about what gun I should get for a duty gun. I have a CC and it’s a hellcat RDP but I was told I can not used that gun. So now I’m looking around. I have my eyes on a few and I can’t make up my mind because I want them all lol. But maybe in time lol. But yeah so I’m looking at the canik rival dark, beretta 92x fr, beretta m9a3, beretta M9A4( I don’t see much of a difference from the other model, but correct me if I’m wrong please) and finally the Springfield 1911 Emissary. I would love to have opinions on this. Much appreciated.
All those you mentioned are great choices and a matter of personal opinion. Personally, out of those mentioned, I like the Beretta M9A3.
@@CGA556 what’s your thoughts on the beretta 92 elite? I was looking at that one in a video that compared it with a few other berettas and some other models. They said really great stuff about that beretta.
