I often shoot monochrome for street and UrbEx photography. Interestingly I like the results under both low light/foggy conditions as well as bright sunlight. I love playing with light, shadow and textures. And yeah, that shot of Julia across the platform through the tram was pretty remarkable!
Thank you!! Happy to hear 🙏🏼 I also find that when I shoot monochrome and I shoot street during daytime, I can see the contrast between light and dark better. It’s a new look onto photography that way. Makes me see different shots I might not have shot if I shot in ‘colour’ picture profile. Do you feel the same?
@@inyourfayes I do feel the same and find myself looking for bold contrasts, and I like the timeless quality of the images. However, I also shoot wildlife photography where I always shoot colour.
Yay! I’ve been waiting for this video! Got me excited all over again. The workshop was amazing. I loved the results of it so much. Can’t wait for the next one! 😍😍 All the other photographers were so awesome aswell. They were all so kind and helpfull. A great opportunity to meet new people with the same passion.
Once again the dynamic duo doing what they do best, create another amazing video!! Thank you ladies it’s always great to see you both creating minus the rat😱😊
Another great video Faye! All the shots were great but the one of Julia through the train windows was absolutely epic. How low was your shutter speed for that one? Your lens stats was missing and yes, you do have the most steady hands ever 😝
@@inyourfayes Question. I know that you use the FIVERAY M20C a lot in your shoots. I have bought 2 of these and they are awesome , but the battery life when i use them on RGB mode, sucks. The lines drop fast. Do u ever have a problem with these ?
Another great video! Thanks! You've really got a good eye for lighting--something that I'm trying to learn. So it's nice to watch your videos for inspiration.
Probably the most entertaining photography video I have seen in a very long time. Highlights for me tripod bin, rat 1 and rat 2, umbrella, spray ( love it ), TNT man, train excitement and the awesome images. Plus, how on earth did I miss the London workshop? Seriously good work - keep it up. I am entertained ... said the way that Russel Crow might of said in Gladiator.
Winging it on the fly is the best way to shoot, it engages the brain. This type of shooting helps when meticulously planned shooting goes wrong as you can fall back onto the skills of winging it with some confidence. You learn from your mistakes as they say. 👍📸
I've found your vlogs, photo shoots inspiring even though I shoot landscape and astrophotography. Your creativity is inspiring. And I use ON1, and make my own presets, but I appreciate how you see the world and see things ad challenges not problems, when they arise. Have you thought about the Voigtlander 50mm F1.0, or the Loawa 33mm F0.95, 35mm F0.95 lenses?
Faye, Definitely a great photo shoot, excellent techniques, Loved the umbrella shoot, having your beautiful sister even better. That on guy that said take my picture was funny I think he had a few drinks. The short video in the end was excellent, And of course your personality makes it even better, So Rats freak out, my niece is the same way. Looking forward to the next video, Have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year 🎉🎉 Thank you, Faye 🌲
I'm really enjoying your channel ever since discovering it. It's fresh and vibrant and fun and is making me think about getting back into it myself (I sort of stopped a few years ago). One tip, if I may - when it isn't possible to verbally direct your subject due to distance or obstructions, a cheap 2-way radio can help a lot - your model would simply position hers radio out of sight but within earshot and you can direct her through your radio. Sure, you could use mobile phones, but I've always found that to be more hassle than a simple 2-way radio kit. Just a thought. 🙂
Thank you!! I would say Amsterdam. Just because of the canals and funny houses. Little more to shoot. Rotterdam is very modern, depends what your preference is 😁
TNT Dynamite... TTTNNNNTTTT hahah, love that song. I wish you were not anxious to see where the conversation would go with that man, but not judging, i'm also anxious.
Hello Fay. Nice photoshoot. May i ask why you always shoot with wide open aperture? Like f1.4. It's very hard to have their eyes focused and even if they are their nose will be blurred. Love your work i was just curious.
As a model scout/photographer who discovered many top models including Super Star models Kim Alexis, Linda Evangelista and model actress Diane Erickson, I must say that your sister and you Faye do have the look of beautiful fashion models. You Faye could also be an actress and do TV commercials with your fabulous personality.
Hi Faye, thank you for the video! It helped me understand how 28mm looks. I used photography couple years ago and I like portrait photography. However, I started to feel like my gear started to be inadequate since it’s a 16 year old camera. I want to switch to a7 IV, as I become an intermediate photographer. However, I don’t have a budget to buy couple lenses, so can you give me suggestions about which prime lens can do the work for me. I want to buy either a 35, a 50 or a 85. Thank you ❤
Ahahah thanks! From a thriftstore in London. Not sure what the store was called but it was one of the biggest vintage stores in Bricklane. It was underground :)
Error 70 is usually a file error. Try formatting your card/s, preferably a low-level format, before a shoot. If you get the error again then try a different card/s.
Hey 👋 hi I hava a question that my budget is 3lakh so I’m little bit confused between sony alpha 7 IV and canon(anyone under my budget) so which one I should buy… Please help
Yes that’s right! And I also bring down the ‘clarity’ of the video so it gives the video a more soft look. I think if I would use a mist filter on top of this it would be overkill hahaha
It’s fun to switch it up! I was actually shooting in JPEG and RAW at the same time. I always make sure I have RAW’s so I can make the most with my photo editing 🎨
They are beautiful photos; however, I think there is a genre error. That is, they mimic fashion photos, but fashion photos always have perfect lighting (see Annie Leibovitz). In fact, if you look at a fashion shoot, there are at least three assistants, several flashes, and diffusers. I think street photography and fashion photography are incompatible. It is assumed they are not because sometimes fashion photographers seek out street settings.
Woah! Really impressive! Absolutely loved it❤ keep it up!! You improve every single time thats really inspiring to be honest 🫡🙌🏻 MIKE vs FAYE video needed!!! Hehe really loved the video❤

As much beauty behind the camera as there is in front of it. And talent.
Thank you for that 😇
Her photography has the perfect balance of images that are sharp and moody. Black and white is the best!
Ahh thank you! Appreciate it 🙏🏼
wow wow wow you are amazing at night time shots and not getting any noise in the photos!
Beautiful work as always. So great to see your hard work paying off. More power to you, Faye!
Ahhh thank you!! Put a smile on my face :)

That was without a doubt your best Vlog yet, you're editing and footage were brilliantly put together.
Wow!! Thanks so much 🙏🏼
I feel like we got up to a lot in a very short time, so I’m happy enjoyed the video 😁
Great location, beautiful model and superb portrait shots! Oh and the video itself is beautifully cinematic: I love the colour tones.

@ you’re welcome!😊
Dope shots and the workshop was amazing and unforgettable, can’t wait the next one 🔥👏🙂
Ahh thank you, so happy you were a part of it!! :)
It’s so refreshing to see a model behind the lens too. I’m getting inspired by your photography, even if I only use the iPhone for now : )
Another great video Faye! All the shots were great but the one of Julia through the train windows was absolutely epic. How low was your shutter speed for that one? Your lens stats was missing and yes, you do have the most steady hands ever 😝
Oh no! I completely forgot to add it.
It was shot at 1/10 sec 😁
Thank you for watching!🙏🏼
@@inyourfayeshello, did you also use manual or auto focus for that shot?
Yoohoooo, finally i got to see your video the moment it comes out 18min later but still less than an hour
Ahw! Hahaha you’re quick.
Thank you for watching 😇

That workshop short video was also great 😊
Rotterdam looks amazing!
Thank you! Rotterdam is an awesome place for photography. Worth checking out whenever you’re in the Netherlands 😁
You shoot a completely different style of portraiture to me but I really enjoy your videos. I’m going to give this a go the next time I’m in London
Thank you! I am so glad to hear you think so 💫
Another Great video! Love it! My favorite is the presets you use, its a perfect moody effect, you kill it!
Thank you!! Really appreciate it 🙏🏼
Absolutely inspiring! Great work and beautiful shots🙂

That's very true, I also feel like I get less stressed now before I start my shoot. Cause either way, you'll figure it out as you go 😇
Happy holidays to you and your family.
Ahw thank you! You too 🎄
I remember visiting Rotterdam for the day earlier in 2023. Stunning city and 10/10 for photos!
Damn, I'm just seeing your video. Would have loved to join the workshop. Any other workshops in the future in London? Love your work!

Amazing portraiture as always ! Ahh ! Would've loved to be on that workshop in Rotterdam. Where do you post your upcoming workshops ? Instagram ?

I love walking and shooting without a plan!
Sigma 28mm Cine image cool!!!
B & W are the best.
Which city is cooler for travelers Rotterdam or Amsterdam?

TNT Dynamite... TTTNNNNTTTT hahah, love that song. I wish you were not anxious to see where the conversation would go with that man, but not judging, i'm also anxious.
Ahahah! I didn’t know he was referring to that song. Now I know. Perks of shooting on the street, you’ve got interesting interactions 😂
the photos are amazing!! i wish i had a camera like yours to take photos of planes:)
Ah thank you! 😇
“The world is my tripod” is my favourite photography quote in a long time. I hope I can use it somewhere 🎉

minute 9:34 what a nice picture for real one of my favorites 🤩 How did you do it in terms of aperture f/. etc?

Ahh wat super leuk om te lezen!
Dankjewel 🙏🏼
Love you videos! Are you offering a coupon code?
Hey Faye, the link to the little light is broken.
Love your content, I always get a bit jealous of your pictures, they always look awesome!
Ahh thanks for letting me know! I’ve recovered it. Happy to hear you liked the video 😇
Error 70 is usually a file error. Try formatting your card/s, preferably a low-level format, before a shoot. If you get the error again then try a different card/s.
Thank you for that tip!!
❤❤❤❤❤
And what was your shutter speed for the shot through train with Julia? 😅
was absolutely thinking the same hehe😅
Hey! I shot it at 1/10 sec. I completely forgot to add it in the video 😂 Thank you for asking!
I shoot color raw files, and make black/white from them if that works better. Sometimes I make both.
I have a question, I have a Canon R6 MK2 which is also a RF fitting, which adapter do you use for your sigma lenses please?
Hey! I use the Canon EF - RF Mount Adapter for my Sigma lenses :)
When you are 23, the world is your tripod! 😂
Ahahah! 😋
Nice👍👍❤❤
Are you using some tape for that lights?
Nope! It’s magnetic. So I can stick it up to a bunch of surfaces 😁
TNT, its dynaamiite *sing* 😆

Hey! I always post about them on my Instagram page 😇
@@inyourfayes Thanks 🙂

@ I’m a huge ACDC fan
i try talking to as many strangers as i possibly can while im out love the videos
I have shot in mono a lot, it’s nice to view what your shooting in mono, but I would shoot raw and jpeg, not just jpeg mono.
It’s fun to switch it up! I was actually shooting in JPEG and RAW at the same time. I always make sure I have RAW’s so I can make the most with my photo editing 🎨
@ Absolutely 👍
That old man was singing the acdc tnt song😂😂
