No guilt! Bibles shows your a great person who cares to learn about God! I have like 25 bibles, mainly nlt, niv, journaling ones. I recently put together a pile to donate since I can only use large print! No guilt! Faith rocks!
I remember the old days in the soviet union... It was very difficult to get a Bible. It took years to get the allowance to purchase one. Thank God for the privilege we have.
My favorite is the NRSV with the apocrypha; Oxford makes a really nice annotated hardcover edition. Like you I have been given or have purchased a few bibles over the years in English as well as in Spanish, and I think it’s great that you don’t stick to one translation of the Bible as well as feeling some concern for those who may not have a Bible. Don’t lose your concern or your passion because this speaks volumes about your wonderful and heartfelt faith.

I have my fav’s but I am also going to make at least 3-5 of them Legacy Bibles for my granddaughters. My favorite translation is CSB & NKJV but when you’re wanting to dig deeper into the message of the word Amplified and the Message bibles can get you there! Be blessed!
I used the life application NIV bible while I was younger. I never read the Bible to be honest. Now I use the RSV catholic edition. And the RSV interlinear with English and Greek.
This is amazing; a young person with more than one Bible- I am impressed hehe. I like NKJV best, on the odd ocassion I'll look up a verse online in NIV. Blessings. Great video.
Really? That is so interesting. I love how sophisticated it is but I just don't reach for it because NIV is just so simple to read and understand for me, but that is awesome Rach!
Awww girl, don't feel bad! You can always purchase some extra bibles to give away, or donate to bible distributing ministries :) I have 21 bibles! O.O I do find more of them on sale (partly damaged ones that I can fix up) or thrift. Some were gifts too. I really like all of them though, and I'm a translation nerd. My favorite is my old duct-taped NIV. I bought it at Wal-Mart when I was 12, and it lasted through teenagerhood and college. My desert island bible would be my ESV study bible though, the notes are incredible!

Yes, it's the best thing to give away :) I'm down to 19 now because I've given 2 away haha! Many of the current study bibles available are like car models, they get updates as years go on, but the basic set of notes remain similar, albeit improved. So when you're ready to get one it will probably have even more pertinent info :)
I like reading NLT but my take-to-church Bible for several years was a giant print compact NIV- easy to carry and read without squinting LOL! I have a lot of study Bibles I've bought cheap on sale or used and am still getting a 'feel' for which I prefer. Right now I'm using the Lucado Life Lessons Study Bible NKJV - I don't think it's much of a study Bible but I find I get bogged down in wanting to know WHY so much or looking for details/information and this one has passages from his books and his way of writing help calm me and focus me back on God's love. It's a good size for carrying to church too. for studying I'm finding I reach for Wesley study Bible (NRSV) (I'm United Methodist and like his perspective) but usually find information in ESV Study Bible and Spirit Filled Life Bible. I also have a hardcover of Life in the SPirit which I think is the one Fire Bible came from. SPirit Filled Life Bible and Life in the Spirit/Fire Bible are more charismatic spirit-filled which I ilke that perspective. Quest and Life Application study Bibles have some good charts as well. I think I could start a library LOL!

I used a Precious Moments bible when I was little but I tell ya what! I read that thing!! I wish I still had it 😟 I also had a Rainbow bible when I was a kid but now I read several translations. My main 2 are the NIV and the NASB 😃
Wow Nice to meet you Im also a bible collector. I just them as well. I use the Modern English Version NKJV KJV NLT NIV NCV ESV all of them are good I mostly just my MEV my church uses different versions
NIV is really easy for me to understand I use that one to study from.I also have the ESV and the NKJV. I have my The Bible app on my phone which has almost all translations.

I have a lot of bibles but my favorites are KJV/NLT/ESV, I also a NIV but I don't read that as much and RSV. But you can learn something from all of them, so just read anyone that you feel that is comfortable for you.
Use whichever version you feel comfortable with, not everyone is comfortable with the KJV as Ye Olde English isn't for everyone. No one needs to be judging which version people choose for themselves. I've seen it so many times and it's so wrong
I have a lot of 3 NLT Bibles and one NKJV. I really like NLT because it's easy to read but I heard that NASB and ESV are supposed to be very accurate. I haven't read them enough to really know but I don't really like reading the ESV. I'd go with NKJV or NASB.

The second and third are announced at the end of each. There is a fourth in the making but will be ready by 2019. Warning: each video is about 3h but if you watch them, you won't regret it. Hi there. My favorite Bible is Inspire Journaling Bible. It got me back into reading the Bible daily. I love the Lord.
Since I'm Catholic I prefer douay rheims or rsv-ce. I bounce back and forth depending if I feel like reading old english or new english =)

when I was growing up I used a NIV bible for teen girls now I usually use the NLT but I have a few different types too. :) I LOVE your purple bible!
