As a fellow Vancouverite, Kevin’s anecdote about homeless people being human beings with emotions is so incredibly important and worth emphasizing. Too many people view them as subhuman or “just another crackhead”, when in reality they are likely someone trying to escape a deep rooted pain (shout out Dr Gabor Mate for helping me understand that more).

Good for you for realizing . I learned pretty young. I had issues with drugs through my teens . I knew I was just a few paycheques or bad weeks away from being homeless, and I still know that unfortunately .
One night me and some friends slept outside , because we used to enjoy it . But it was late September , and it started snowing as we were falling asleep. I was with two female friends and we cuddled up for warmth, but we all just woke up sicker than we have ever been. I can’t imagine that being a daily experience .
Luckily Vancouver is good through alot of the winter, so the Vancouver homeless have a bit of a good deal there . I live in Calgary , and our winters get pretty intense .

Got the chance (no pun intended) to see him perform this for the 10th anniversary and it was such an amazing experience. I truly think he has a comeback in coming. He truly is an amazing artist

I was a depressed 16 year old living with my sister in the suburbs, from the hood drinking cough syrup everyday to cope when I would listen to this tape on repeat. It'll always mean a lot to me. Great songs and vibes. Helped a lot.

I never really cared for watching album reaction/review videos personally, but since I found y’all a week ago, I BEEN LOCKED IN!! Someone in one of your other videos commented that watching pops hear these albums for the first time is the closest thing fans of these projects will get to experiencing that joy from our first time hearing them. And that’s EXACTLY what I feel watching these.
    GOOD SHIT BOYS!! 👌🏾🔥
Much love from a new fan and a fellow vancouverite! 🙏🏾

For the time this Mixtape came out and to now the way it’s aged is a testament to how great this album/mixtape was and is. My father also had the same reactions to this album.

I still remember waiting for midnight with my older brother for this to drop on DatPiff. Listened to it like 4-5 times straight that night and still hasn’t left my rotation.
What a masterpiece of a mixtape.

this mixtape changed everything for me, it came out my freshman year of highschool, i was grounded for smoking weed so i only had my ipod touch but somehow someone told me to download something called soundcloud and listen to acidrap by chance the rapper (never heard of him or any rapper call themselves "....the rapper") so i used my VPN on the school wifi in the bathroom to download it and my life changed for ever. i graduated high school in 2017 and everyday for all 4 years of high school i was listening to new artist and new songs on soundcloud. it was such a great era for me, and it all started with this mixtape, can't believe its been 10 years.
