This is a nice set. I built it about a year ago. After installing the smaller corner plants and whatnot, I found it easier to assemble the exterior walls while I could get my hands inside of the building to support their clutch from the inside, and THEN assemble the central tree outside of the building and lower it into the center (not easy, but doable). The instructions have you building the central tree before the exterior walls. That solved the problem that I also experienced with a flimsy exterior. Then add the roof.
A few dabs of Gorilla Glue were needed here and there
Maybe the walls are meant to break away easily to get access to the inside?

So, kit bash it and make it open up like ghe old castle. It's Lego, make it better.

Sometimes that's what it takes. Especially if you don't want to pay for faster shipping. But I usually do because I don't like waiting 3 months.
